Good first night stay

Overall our one night was excellent. If we had one complaint (and it’s a small one) the room we had faced afternoon sun and it was very hot in the room. Even with the fan on overnight it didn’t get cool enough for a great sleep.

Disappointing

Modern hotel, everything that you'd need is provided but I found my bed to be uncomfortable, the shower quite weak and the cooked breakfast very poor quality, although to be fair there were other breakfast options. Service at times was absolutely woeful. Doubt I'll be booking again.

Lovely hotel. Room was modern but cool. I arrived at 8.45pm Sunday, due to a late ferry. Busy restaurant stopped serving at 8.45, so i asked a waiter at 8.47 if i could order (twice) and got an abrupt NO. Good breakfast and polite check in. I ordered the (only) room service toastie, which was good. So OK hotel but not a great experience.

The Un-fairways hotel

Checked in after 9pm. Originally given wrong room which had a broken window that looked out onto the bar patio area. The noise from the patio area was very loud and with a window that would not close meant we would not get sleep. Expressed concerns to reception and she was not interested in helping the situation just that she would send the manager to the room to close the window. 25 minutes pass and the manager did not appear. I returned to reception only to be told he's in a manager and cannot be interrupted. This went on for nearly an hour before I went and found the manager myself and insisted he deal with the situation. When I found the hotel manager on duty and I asked for his assistance in reception his replay was "does it have to be now?". A totally unprofessional response while already in a bad situation. Eugene, the manager was unprofessional in other ways, he was wearing running shoes with his suit and could not be any less caring of the situation, only coming up with excuses that were invalid and passing sly comments such as "let's go to the new room and see if it's up to your standard." This entire saga went on until after 11pm and the staff were not caring at all and did not want to attempt to fix the situation until I started to demand a full refund. The room along with the broken window was also the smallest bed type after I had paid more for the large bed and the lights in the room were flickering because they were broken. Would advise others avoid.

Great hotel. Woken at 2am due to fire alarm.

The fire alarm went off at 2am due to someone smoking in the room. This really ruined my night as I had been on the road since 4am and travelled hundreds of miles in the car. Unfortunate
