Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Rooms were very clean and beds comfy. Bar was nice and relaxed with a great view. Room had a lovely view of the Discovery ship and river.

Discovery trip

Perfect location, right at train station and city centre , V&A (and SLESSOR Gardens).Room spotless and bed super comfy. Staff very friendly and polite. Would definitely stay here again

Booked here for 80s calling at slessor gardens which was 2 minutes walk. We travelled to Dundee by train from Glasgow hotel was right at station. V&A across the road bus stop to st andrews outside. The best part was the staff always very attentive and pleasant and the bar prices were cheap compared to most hotels

We have stayed at this hotel many times when it was sleeperz It has had a very classy facelift in the communal areas and the bedrooms have a bit of facelift too It was always a reasonably priced hotel it’s a bit more expensive now And with that increased rate I feel the breakfast could be better and more of choice and more Scottish Apart from that no other complaints The staff are very friendly and helpful and a credit to the company

Nice hotel very conveniently located by train station ,V&A and centre of Dundee. For the price paid I would have expected breakfast to be included. Room size was decent but bathroom was very small.

Gorgeous hotel in a great convenient spot. All staff were friendly and nice. Rooms are lovely too but lack a fridge and iron and ironing board and if being really picky, the bathrooms are very small. The rooms were really nice though. Great lighting, bedding and seating. The only other point that could be improved is the breakfast option. A scottish breakfast would have been nice as the choices were limited. The lack of food availability at any other time is also a drawback. They have a lovely bar but no food service other than breakfast which is a shame as it's such a nice place to sit and admire the V&A, having a meal there would be even nicer. We would go back though due to its convenience and comfortable rooms.

Clean hotel in perfect location

Clean hotel in a good location. Above the station, over the road from Discovery and the V&A. Only a couple of minutes walk from the town centre. Staff were lovely. Pillows felt cheap though. Premier Inn have better pillows I did have to park a little walk away, possibly there were better options if I'd researched, but definitely no parking on site

Parking is difficult asvther3bis none on site. There was no lock on the bathroom door and it didnt close properly. Our room was next to lift so noisy at night. There was black mould at the top of the shower. Breakfast was awful, cold scrambled eggs, tough dry bacon, machine coffee self serve, dry pastries and mini muffins. Despite paying in advance for 6 breakfasts we were approached by staff asking had we paid?? He did this twice.. then made a feeble attempt at apologising once he had managed to find our payment. It was very humiliating in front of other guests. A taxi was booked for us by receptuon using their touch screen service. She said she booked a 6 seater. We were celebrating our sons birthday and had a restaurant reservation. The taxi did not arrive in 20 minutes, despite us being told to wait outside it will come very soon. We were then called by the firm to say they didnt do 6 seaters?? My son walked to a taxi rank and secured alternatives. We were late for our dinner reservation.
