Great wee hotel. Quiet, clean and friendly service. Breakfast was really good and made for you; not on a buffet style. It was therefore hot when it arrived. Close to shops and places to eat so fab.

Room extremely clean and bed very comfy. Check in staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast excellent value for money. Service given with a smile.
Very good for price but food was not so good had ordered carvery but when we went to the counter the food was cold and no mash no cauliflower cheese . Chef said they had been very busy .
Shower was very poor the water was standing in the bottom of the shower and wouldn’t drain away correctly
The beds was very uncomfortable overall it wasn’t very nice
The bed here was very comfortable and much better than numerous Travelodges we've stayed in recently. Despite it being a twin turned into a double the join wasn't very noticeable and the mattress was very comfortable.
The only gripe for me was the shower head did look aged and the drain in the wet room didn't clear the floor quickly enough so you're stood in 2inches of water by the time you've finished but grab bars in all the right places. As a wheelchair user I found everything very accessible and would stay again. You do need to go into the pub for check in and handing the key back. We didn't eat there but did plan to, maybe next time!
As a place to stay this is ideal it has easy access from the motorway network and a range of eateries on the retail park. The staff were more than pleasant and check in was easy, however prior to arrival i received over 20 emails requesting various things relating to the four rooms I had booked including an invitation to book breakfast, on-line check and departure. I made one booking but all four rooms were billed separately activating fraud alert at my card issuer that i then had to resolve. to say it annoyed me would be an understatement. I even phoned there call centre and they told me to ignore the online check in, get it sorted.
The adjacent carvery that is owned and run by Marstons seem extremely popular with the locals the chap running it was clearly well known to the customers and his mashed potatoes were divine. It is a nice quiet place to stay.
