We had a twin room with a view of the sea and it was clean enough. There was black mould on the window frame. However the TV had no signal and although there was a telephone there was nothing to plug it into. We complained and they moved us to a lovely family room. No sea view but the staff were very helpful and kind

Perfect location. This hotel has the potential to be perfect but sadly it’s not. Old, dated and not very clean. Room was huge but didn’t feel or look clean. Shower had empty bottle from previous resident left in the corner. Shower didn’t drain very well leaving you feeling like you may flood the bathroom. Check in was easy and the staff nice.

Old-fashioned hotel in the centre of town
The hotel is conveniently located for the ferry terminal, shops and restaurants. The staff at reception, in the restaurant and the bar were all helpful and friendly. Breakfast was plentiful although the quality of cooked food was average. The food in the Rio restaurant was fine but the service was extremely slow - also there was no red Italian wine on the menu at a restaurant that describes itself as Italian (??). Our room was clean (apart from some mould in the shower) and over-furnished with slightly rickety furniture - the bed was not very comfortable, with very noisy mattress springs. Overall we had a pretty good stay.
