This river view Holiday Inn location offered more than I had expected and was the perfect end to my wedding weekend :) The front desk staff are so kind and pleasant. Next the views on the wrap around patio are so beautiful and peaceful views of the animas river and mountains. We enjoyed sitting out with our doggy and wine listening to the river. The trail is steps away too. Plenty of yummy restaurants one block up onMain street. They offer free breakfast with costa rican coffee, gluten free bagels options, and even offered omlettes! The rooms were very clean and everything is updated. I will be back when we visit Durango again someday!

Check-in was terrible. I had with confirmation for two nights through hotels.com but hotel said we had only one night and hotels. Com modified it. Both hotels.com and ihg passed the buck back and forth leaving me in the middle with no solution.

Good value! The hotel is in a good location, neat, the staff is very helpful, and the included breakfast was very satisfactory. Only thing was my original room was on the ground floor and had a door leading out onto a “patio” which was pretty much the front parking lot so I didn’t feel very secure. Maybe convenient for someone who had a car parked in the front. I was able to change rooms but the second one (239) had an odd odor (something like sewage) coming up from the shower drain.

Staff was very friendly and professional. The views were lovely with the river right outside. It is a very walkable area with grocery and pharmacy literally across the street. It has secure underground parking and a good selection for breakfast. I thought this was a great place to stay and would definitely return.

Great Stay

The room was nice and clean. Check in was easy and the staff were friendly. I wish they had more towels and coffee options, all we had were light and decaf. The room was actually quiet even though the hotel is right next to the road.
