A very basic hotel. A bit outdated, but everything is in good repair. The stuff was helpful and friendly. The stay had a personal feel to it. Like staying at someone’s place. I enjoyed it. The only thing I gave four stars is the bed. The mattress was very hard. Will tray again.

Good for value
Overall a decent hotel for short stay. The room itself is a bite dated but it is clean. The water pressure is a bit weak but considering the price i would say it is good for value and I cant complain. The reception lady is really kind and helpful, she is very patient and explained everything in details.

I was in Germany to meet friends and choose to stay at this Hotel as I've stayed here before. The Hotel is ideally located for getting to The Alstadt, other nearby attractions and the Main Station. The Staff at the Hotel are always very cheerie and willing to help you and this is a great reason for staying here.

I came to visit friends and have stayed here many times before and as always I was greeted by the brilliant reception staff. I have enjoyed the spacious room and the quietness of the location which is near but far enough away from the main road not to be disturbed by traffic noise or late night revellers. I would thoroughly recommend this Hotel to anyone.

1. No check-in staff available when I arrived just after 10pm. 2. Room was not cleaned 3. WiFi was terrible. I could not work at the hotel as planned. When I asked the receptionist I was advised “weather has caused the WiFi issue, and this is German WiFi”. 4. Room was too warm. Even with the windows open and desk fan blowing.

I had a great stay in Hotel Batavia. Good customer service at the reception and great communication with them A+++. The hotel is near the Train station. The room was good, I was only disappointed because there is no AC in the room.

Decent little hotel this, great value for money. Most importantly it was clean with a good shower, 5 minute walk to the Konigsalle and 5 more to the Aldstat

Visiting Friends in Duisburg and Bochum
I arrived at The Batavia around 4 pm on the Friday and was checked in immediately as I have stayed here before and was recognised by the staff. I would definitely recommend this Hotel to anyone travelling to Dusseldorf as The Staff are of the highest quality possible. The Hotel is about 5 / 10 minutes walk from Dusseldorf HBF and about 15 minutes walk to The Alstadt Area where there are many great Bars and Restaurants. The Area surrounding The Hotel is generally very quiet apart from a Weekend when it can be slightly busy due to nearby Hotels and Clubs being busy. Overall I have not come across a better Hotel for the price.

This hotel is near the main train station and downtown area. Unfortunately the train station area isn't always the safest. There are many Asian places to dine at in this neighborhood. Staff was kind and helpful. Room was larger than expected for the price, but not all the bedding was clean (stains on pillow cases). The beds were VERY hard. I would stay here again for the price and location.

Great little hotel
The Batavia was very comfortable and conveniently located near the old and historic part of the city, as well as close to subway stops and the main train station. Room was a nice size, especially for the price. We would stay there again if ever in Dusseldorf.
