We didn’t come for the golf, which is probably why most people stay at Ben Eoin. Without that attraction, the ‘resort’ really offers very little. No pool, gym, spa, walking trails - nothing. The room is huge, but lacks modern convenience. It’s not possible to access streaming services on TV so you are stuck with the regular cable offerings. The door has a key lock which was extremely temperamental to open. Bathroom supplies were limited to shards of soap and four tiny shampoo bottles. We didn’t get coffee for the first night, etc etc. To be considered a top quality resort property, Ben Eion needs to step up its game - oh, and tell the Golf Pro to stop leaving his Corvette on the turn around! He’s not that special!

The McPherson house does not have air conditioning on the second floor, though there's one on the ground floor.

Overall the place was good, there are some part of the house are a bit run down and the doors tend to be hard to open and close for the bedroom. Despite all these issue which did not affect much on our stay. We still have a good stay and its great location for travelling with family.

We had issues with the toilet as soon as we checked in and we hadn’t used it. I always flush the toilet to make sure it works before we settle in our room. We waited for maintenance to come up. The other item I did not know -if you stay for more than one night in a hotel the staff does not come in and freshen the room, remove used towels and replace them. I was very surprised by this. Everywhere I have stayed before for more than one night housekeeping always freshens the toom

I liked the location room was clean, shower was nice beds seemed short room was on the hot side but turned on the outside fan / AC. Dining room / bar was nice had entertainment. You check in at the golf pro shop took a little longer due to my arrival time, being at the same time a night league was arriving.
