This hotel needs some upgrades

The staff was very friendly and I had no issue with them at all. They even offered to refund my money when I saw the condition of the room. There was black mold everywhere. There was a sticky substance all over the shower like it had not been cleaned. It was bad, but they refunded my money and I went to stay in a different town about 60 miles away.

Nice staff, nice place to rest, even if tech old.

We needed a place on the way from New Mexico to Houston and I flipped back and forth on cheaper options, but went with La Quninta (and paid a little premium) to remove any gotchas going with a cheaper place. I was disappointed to find the pool closed indefinitely. The TVs are also HD, but running on a cable connection, so no HD, and not smart. A bit picky, i know, but would expect a La Quinta to not have their TVs stuck in 2010.

Once the place to stay, No longer in Eastland

This hotel had just declined over the last 10 years. The property is just not be maintained. The elevator was out, the toilet was clogged in our room, mold in our shower in the corners and grout, the fridge cabinet and drawers would not close properly, just worn.

We had dead roaches in our floor upon our arrival, walls were dirty with dusty lint type debris, dried boogers were on the wall next to bed. We truly would have left but other hotels were full. the pool, hot tub, ice machine and elevator was not working! We have stayed many times at this property. It is run down terribly. Ridiculous that we paid over $200 a night for such filth!

This was a great hotel with free breakfast. The breakfast starts at 5:30 am which allowed us to eat before leaving at 6:00 am. It is not just a continental breakfast. They offered waffles, eggs, hash browns, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, cereal, yogurt, fruit, and pastries.

There was no housekeeping during our three day stay. It was advertised to include daily housekeeping, and the plaque on the mirror claimed daily housekeeping as well. But, no housekeeping. I asked the front desk clerk, she said "Well we're Wyndham Green so it's every three days". But the mirror plaque is branded Wyndham Green and says "daily" and the Expedia site says "daily". So, false advertising and the place does not warrant its expensive rate when you consider how dirty it is and that there's no housekeeping.

This hotel was in desperate need of a good cleaning. Beds were fine and A/C worked, but the floors were dirty, the linens were not in the best shape, and the walls and mirrors were also dirty. The housekeeping was very poor overall.

Doors between rooms did not open or close easily. Pool unavailable. Killed cockroach in bathroom. Floors were not vacuumed or swept… cockroach remained in bathroom floor when we returned. Breakfast was subpar - bacon and sausage was soaking in grease. Decided to go out to eat both days.
