We had a reason to be in Eau claire for the night. We picked this hotel and I’m so glad we did. There are plenty of other places all around to explore. Many restaurants and bars, etc. Once we arrived at The Oxbow we found no reason to leave. The hotel itself is so comfortable and welcoming. All the little details that make you feel at home. They had a collection of records with record player in each room so that we could enjoy some music. Once we freshened up, we came downstairs in the hunt for dinner and found The Lakely is right on property and had live music and wonderful food. As far as the service the people there were so kind. It was just a fantastic experience to be there. We can’t wait to go back.

I’ve stayed at the Oxbow many times, great facility with unique room amenities - record player in each room, albums at front desk. While I prefer a room inside the main building, the rooms in the annex are good just maybe not the same overall experience. Great restaurant on-site. Will stay again.

Great staff, good location for being Eau Claire. Walkable. Property has some really great decorations/ ideas like vinyl record library for the in every room record player- but we tried 6 different ones and they all skipped to much to be played. Great art work. We’re not fans of carpeted rooms because you never know what hides in there- but it’s an American thing and hard to find rooms without it in the US- Slightly worn out at this hotel but we’ve seen worse. Overall, this is not a $200 (what we paid) hotel for a town like Eau Claire. But nicer hotels are limited in this town so we would probably stay here again next time. Attached restaurant and all the staff we ran into were great. FYI- no breakfast or breakfast option on site. Free tea and coffee whoc I was nice.
