great stay
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We stayed in a room on the top floor. Check-in at night was quick and they kept our bags after check-out. The English breakfast was very good!! Only on the last night, I think there was an event and there was some noise at night, not to mention that after midnight you could hear the noise of the vacuum cleaner in the reception area on the top floor.

Nice buffet breakfast. Nice friendly staff. On second night of our stay we had to park our car out on the street at 7pm as the car park was full of vans taking up more spaces due to their size. Water damage on the bathroom ceiling. The TV was up in the gods about 10 - 12 inches from the high ceiling. Hense left hotel with sore neck.

Beautiful castle view room
We booked Braid Hills as we were going to an event at the O2 arena and this was a good commute base. From the minute we walked through the door till the minute we left the staff couldn't have been nicer, especially Jake who was definitely made for hospitality as he was a credit to his role he was extremely helpful and informative and happy to chat and make you feel right at home he was a lovely you man.Our room the signature castle view room was spotlessly clean, cosy and comfortable with fantastic views over the city. I can’t comment on the breakfast as I was unfortunately a little worse for wear the next morning so unfortunately never managed to get to breakfast. I would definitely recommend staying and will certainly stay again.

Had issues with hot water but this was addressed promptly by staff and I was moved rooms. The room move was not the best but it did.The hotel definitely needs cosmetic attention but the staff are very friendly.

Good place to stay
Really good and efficient hotel, have stayed here a couple of times now. Very easy access to central Edinburgh with roughly 20min journey to City centre by bus, roughly every 19mins daytime, stop across road. Rooms decorated well and to a modern standard, friendly and efficient staff.

It was really excellent stay, the staff were friendly and breakfast was perfect for this cost. Bus stop to city centre only few mins walk. We enjoyed a lot and would defo come back to this hotel.

Needs urgent updating
Whole hotel needs urgent updating from the corridors, stairs and room. Wallpaper coming off wall, woodwork chipped, wardrobe door was missing and could not close bathroom door. Shower very poor, but bathroom and bed clean. Breakfast very good.

It was generally really nice. Its a great hotel, brilliantly situated to go into town with bus stop really close to the hotel and taxi options at the front desk. Only thing that let it down was that, although breakfast was included in our booking, they told us when we checked in that it wasn't, and if we wanted the hot buffet it would be £14.95. I checked our booking the following morning, saw it was included, and challenged them at reception. They then said that they'd tried to find us after booking in to say it had been added. Went for breakfast to be told we we're not on the list. Lady kindly went to reception and came back to say they had given her wrong info?? We eventually got breakfast, but it was kind of stressful and we were in a rush as we had a tour booked.

Hotel was I great location with views over nearby park and a 15 minute bus ride into the heart of the city. Bus stop was right outside. Staff were very helpful and friendly Rooms were immaculate.
