Hotel was welcoming, staff polite and helpful. Only part that did not come up to scratch was the bedroom. The headboard was damaged see photo. No doors on wardrobe and floor covering wrinkly and could be seen as a trip hazard .

We have stayed at Braid Hills Hotel on several occasions as it is conveniently located for visiting family members who live a 10 minute walk away in Morningside. The free parking is an import factor in our selection of this hotel. We also like the fact that should we wish to go into the city centre there is a frequent bus service right outside the hotel. The hotel is a little dated and would benefit from some refurbishment, but the rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and bathrooms function properly. Staff are welcoming and helpful and bar and restaurant prices are reasonable.

The Hotel is very well presented the staff are dedicated and friendly excellent services good food. and well positioned just a short distance from Edinburgh city centre but far enough away to be very quiet and peaceful. we really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely not hesitate to book again the next time we visit Edinburgh.

Lovely big room with a fantastic enormous bed. Very pleasant staff. Breakfast was really nice with lots of choice. Overall the stay was excellent value and will definitely stay at this hotel again. Anyone with mobility problems would have to request a ground floor room as there is no lift and stairs are quite steep

The hotel looks nice from the outside but is aging on the inside. There is no elevator, and on top of that the bus stop lets out at the bottom of a hill, and then a large set of stairs to even get to the hotel itself. The rooms themselves were nicely appointed. Though the showers use that weird half glass thing that ends up spilling water all over if youre taller than average. The Wifi was almost unusable in our room on the third floor. And the layout for the room numbers was extremely confusing. The sign was little help the first time i had to find our room. The restaurant wasn't bad, if it a bit expensive. The food was good, and the service was ok. The downside is that it was basically the only food for quite a distance unless you wanted to go to the gas station at the bottom of the hill. Nice neighborhood, but did require long bus rides to get anywhere we wanted to go.

Hotel is quite neat. However it is really tired and dated and hard to keep clean. It was convenient to take the bus into town but for the price point I would of expected a little more cleanliness and upgrading.
