It was nothing exceptional. It was clean & functional and on the cheaper side for Edinburgh. A short walk to Dean's Village. We stayed for 2 nights, and it was relatively quiet. Having to go to the lobby for wifi was a bit of a pain but I saw a few people down in the lobby working at tables.

Poorly serviced hotel with no quality
Staff have poor service first experience was walking into reception where the lady was on her phone, followed by her asking “can I help or you just standing there?” In the most sarcastic way possible. Secondly wanted to keep our bags at the hotel on day of checkout and had to pay extra for this service, I’ve never had this in any hotel I’ve stayed at before.
Room was of decent quality as only a 1 night stay but if was staying for more than 2 nights it’s a big No! Shower wasn’t the cleanest and very dingy, room had poor view and overall not a great experience.
To conclude, this hotel will do fine for a 1/2 night stay if you only plan to use it to sleep in, apart from that I’d recommend elsewhere.

You get what you pay for. This isn’t a top end hotel but better than I expected for the price. Bar and lobby area was lovely and outside seating area really nice. Staff mostly nice and helpful. Room is basic but clean.
Had the windowless room which makes you feel like you're in a prison cell, when I asked to change the room it took me 5 calls before I could get through to reception who were very rude and abrupt. When I asked if I could pay for an upgrade to a room with a window..... I was told 'no we have already overbooked by 6 rooms'. Customer service is terrible
to find this place you see the back of it the entrance is round the back and down the slope, your greeted with 1970's style plastic flowers in the hanging baskets, you enter and its dark the room was all dark wood and bland colouring i wanted parking which they had at an extra cost per day this was not in the blurb was it worth the nearly 400 quid plus another 15 quid for parking for the 2 night stay considering its about a 20 min walk in to Edinburgh nope it was not
This just about a 3 star hotel. The staff were good and friendly but the building is old and tired and as such there is quite a long list of things that need significant improvement. The most frustrating feature was the very low water pressure which made showering a poor experience and toilets when flushed took forever to work again. The towels were quite small and no floor mat was supplied so the whole showering experience was frustrating.
Hotel is tired and needs updating. Staff were very efficient and friendly.

This is pretty basic budget accommodation. It has seen better days. It's a bit of a hike to get up over the hill to where the restaurants and businesses are. The parking worked out well although not included in the price. No issues with reception or billing. It does the job you just don't get that special feeling you get when you walk into the lobby of a nicer hotel.

The hotel is nice staff friendly. No complaints about the accommodation. The thing that let the hotel down was the food really bad all that was on offer was not great at all. I found one of the kitchen staff very rude and not friendly at all.
No cleaning, soaps, bathroom toilet rolls stand broken, only 1 in 3 lifts working. In breakfast most things were empty/ finished.
Just poor service and unfriendly staff.
The hotel was very run down, and the staff were very unprofessional. On multiple occasions. There were many health and safety risks. In terms of fire doors obstructed, trip and fall hazards. Overall, beyond basic, and not really budget friendly.
It’s terrible experience regard to everything
Rude customer service
Facilities not provided
No cleaning in room
No customer service phone to request basic service items
