Staff aren’t the most friendly ones around, barring the Reception staff. Not a service with smile. They barely greet you or even smile when greeting. Wonder if they are all overworked. The room was hardly stocked, even basics like tissue boxes were empty. Some basics like cutleries (spoons) were not available in the room and had to fetch everything from the reception.

First hotel in Scotland with ac, it worked well. Room was clean and housekeeping checked it daily unless we put the door card out. Had a small fridge. The frosted glass door to the bathroom was a unique touch! Nice for a night light Elevators were in working order and readily available. The food at the restaurant was good, Breakfast was a well stocked buffet. Nice to have as no other restaurants were nearby. It was sometimes difficult to find a server to pay the bill. Bus stop to the city was a short walk and buses came by frequently.

Ideally situated for what we wanted to do in Edinburgh. Staff were excellent - helpful and friendly. Rooms we booked were superior and had all the usual items for this standard of room. Parking good right outside the hotel. No complaints.

Great hotel

This hotel is fantastic, nice & quiet, neat, clean & the staff were lovely. As it it positioned on the edge of Heriot Watt University campus it is ideal for students & family.

Staff were nice, but there were some issues with the property. The bathroom did not have shower door, so the water got everywhere. It also didn’t have much for privacy either with only frosted glass window to separate users from the sitting/sleeping area (also no fan). Housekeeping never replenished the coffee and cream, so we were told to come down and get some!! Really? For the price - not worth it.
