We stayed here one night before our departure. Its is a very nice hotel, super clean, staff are helpful, nice lobby to relax in, bathroom and bed were great in all ways. Its is about 15 minutes to the airport- very quiet. The restaurant here is popular and pricey, if you plan to eat here make a reservation. Otherwise the bar has a seating area and serves food which was good.

Nice Enough

Our tv didn't work, had to call down. Our room keys didn't work had to go down and get new ones. We only had one hand towel, which was annoying, Our stay was short. Seems overpriced but everything is Scotland coming from the US is overpriced. Restaurant was very good and great vibe, yet pricey. All in all, it was a nice room compared to some inns we stayed at during our trip, and large enough. We only booked because it was near enough to the airport. If you're from the US, it's more like a nice Sheraton of Hilton.

Nice hotel, decor is beautiful, beds are comfy, food was great. Big car park is great, check in was smooth, check-out was a bit slow due to que and incorrect bill. Despite that would come again.

A wonderful hotel! As soon as you step inside the lobby, it feels cozy and warm… and the smell is beautiful. The customer service was extremely friendly and the rooms were clean and comfy. The town of Queensferry is very quaint with a number of nice restaurants and pubs but is about a 15 min walk. Theres very little in the immediate vicinity of the hotel but you really dont need it as the hotel has a nice restaurant and everything you need. I’d highly recommend

Nice hotel in the Queensferry area of Edinburgh.

The Dakota Hotel is a stylish place to stay with a helpful staff. We especially appreciated their shuttle bus to the Edinburgh airport.

I guess my major issue is it’s called Dakota Edinburgh, but it’s nowhere near the centre of Edinburgh city. I guess I should’ve checked the map before I booked it but when the hotel is called dokota Edinburgh, it seemed straightforward. In order to get into the city centre we had a 20 minute walk to the nearest train station and then an approximately 20 minute train journey to Edinburgh Waverley. If you’re hoping to stream Netflix in your room, you may be disappointed. It was not possible in our room, but I cannot comment on whether this facility was available in the more expensive rooms. The price stated for breakfast on the hotel menu is confusing. It states £19 but this is for continental and a full cooked breakfast and doesn’t mention £10 for Continental. There is a Tesco supermarket about 100 m from the hotel which was useful
