Nice staff but an uncomfortable stay

All staff I talked with at reception were really nice and friendly. And yes, the location is super central. But overall, unfortunately, it was just not a comfortable stay. The bed was short (and I’m really not a tall person at all), the bathroom pod inside the room was just so tiny (think airplane bathroom but with a shower) and the walls must have been made of paper because you could hear absolutely everything from the other rooms. I tend to go for inexpensive basic when I pick my hotels, but this was beyond basic in my opinion.

Customer service was excellent but room was smaller than expected so I would advise people to read the room measurements before making a booking as the small room without is really a tight squeeze

No space to move, shower was a death trap, if your claustrophobic don’t come and stay here. Was not comfortable. I have been to better budget hotels that have been cheaper and have had more space and facilities! The double bed was too big for the room. The size of the room was more fit for a single bed with only one person staying there. Me and my husband felt cramped. We didn’t sleep very well. We kept crashing into each other.

You can’t beat the location for the price you pay. However, don’t expect anything more than just a bed and a small space for the bathroom. Would be ideal for a solo traveller, but couples will struggle with how small the space actually is - only one of us could actually stand in the available floor space while the other waited on the bed. Would have been better if there was shelving or more storage space, but besides the tiny vanity mirror and small luggage cubby under the bed (while the rest was blocked out), there was no where to store our belongings. Also the walls are very, very thin, so we could hear the person in the next cube (what we nicknamed our room) snoring all night. It WAS clean and had card key access which was secure, and staff were very warm and welcoming. For the price I’d honestly stay here (solo) again as everything was under a 30 min walk max from the front door & had plenty of food options nearby

Wonderful for a solo traveller

Great location and wonderful view. I had the double room with castle view. It’s very small for 2 people but lucky I was travelling alone. Very little room for two people to move around. Very small bathroom as well. Disappointed that I was charged a fee to mind my suitcase. That was disappointing. But the young lady receptionist was super helpful and delightful and made up for it. She was great.

Double room with window view. Was far to noisy they need to upgrade the windows heard the traffic and trams all night.Room far to small the shower room was tiny reminded me of the toilet in a aircraft had no storage couldn't even get dressed in there. I paid £63 for 1 night . Not worth the money wouldn't recommended staying there

The room is way too small, wifi is flickering and is very noisy. You can hear others room conversations, when they’re showering m, even when they use the toilet. Location is good but it’s overpriced.

I know that the room was advertised as a small double wit a window. However the photos of the room made it look larger than it was. We slept at the bottom of the bed as it was less claustrophobic. The passage from the entrance door to the bed was virtually impossible for the two of us to negotiate if one of us accessing the toilet. I've been in bigger bathrooms in a small caravan.

Such a poor stay

One of the worst stays I've had in decades I clearly and politely asked months ago at the time of reservation to try and get a quiet room with window. I was given a room with a view to a highly trafficked high street, ambulances, noisy revellers shouting until late at night, cars, heavy trams and it was like being in a transport tunnel from early morning to late night. The window had no phonic insulation, there was no mention of such huge noise when I booked so I couldn't get my eye mask and ear plugs. I told in the morning at reception and was given mm ask and plugs but of poor quality. Useless. Even worse when I checked in and reminded the person about my request I was met with rudeness and the impression that I was asking for something special. I was there for work, I needed to study and read. I couldn't sleep more than 2 hours in 2 nights, I performed badly at my business activity. Just awful. They could've told me about such conditions. I wasn't there to see the castle!

Too small

The location is PERFECT, however d Rooms are so small it’s almost not live able . No soap in d bathroom, no eievator, only. Steps. It’s convenient but I won’t stay next time
