Terrible miniature room, but friendly staff.

Good: Friendy staff and great location. Bad: These room are so small that should be called pods. It’s a 2 x 2 metre space where a double bed fills the whole room wall to wall. There is no space around the bed even for a coffee table. The only space between the bed and the door is a 1m x 60cm space to stand in and walk into the bathroom. If you with a second person, be prepared to have one in bed or in the bathroom so the other can get ready lol. Is as ridiculous as it sounds. The bathroom itself is smaller than a train bathroom. Shower is next to the toilet, like a motor home. The rooms are noisy, and you can hear the neighbours through the walls adjacent to yours all day / night. The slamming of the doors all night is also bad. Every time someone slams the door, the walls vibrate. The rooms are freezing cause you can’t regulate the temperature from inside the room. The AC panel is controlled by the person in reception, so you have to go and ask them to change it if you’re not happy with it. The only storage in the room is a small hole under the bed to for 1 backpack, maybe a tiny suitcase, but not for big items. Overall is terrible and claustrophobic. No windows either. Will never stay at this property again.

The property was a good deal for the area. Really close to main Edinburgh attractions and transportation. The hotel was a tight squeeze but relatively clean. No ventilation in the room made it a bit musty. Staff was very friendly. Would not recommend if you have mobility difficulties or use a mobility device. We needed to climb a handful of stairs to reach even the front desk.

I knew room would be small but it was more like walking into a cupboard. Very claustrophobic! Tv didn’t work and had no remote. No tea or coffee facility and nowhere to put anything. As we were a group of2 people, we could not move unless one of us sat on the bed. Good mattress and that was about all. Very disappointed.

What I liked: - The location was very convenient for walking and public transport - The staff was really friendly and accommodating, a shout-out to Henry and Aondona for their exceptionally great service - Cold and hot drinking water available at the reception - The hotel and our room was clean What I didn't like: - The air conditioner was not working properly - The Wi-Fi speed was inconsistent

Small, hot room for a lot of money

The room was very hot, no thermostat, temp controlled at front desk for whole floor, no chair, couldn't open door without moving suitcases, and very expensive. They did give a fan to me for the room, but there was hardly space in the room for the fan. And it was expensive

Location-wise and including the view of the castle, easy hotel was perfectly placed on Princes street with plenty options for eating out, ordering in, or starting a daily walk around the city. On the other hand, due to the size of the hotel there was no lift meaning the stairs was the only option so I would not recommended for people with mobility issues. In addition, in the room the toilet and washing facilities were very cramped (almost with a claustrophobic feel), there was no place to unpack meaning we had to live from our cases, and lastly, the windows did not open which meant there was no airflow in the room causing it to feel stuffy.

I knew the room is going to be small but I expected at least entirely clean rooms, it had dirty floors, and dust between connections of walls. The room offered to private bathroom which is great but someone didn’t think through its ergonomics, the shower tray was very shallow and there where only curtains between the shower and the rest of the bathroom what ended up in flooding the whole bathroom.
