The location is good and the properly is clean. Most of the staff is friendly but the manager is rude, we asked to switch rooms because of the noise (the walls are super thin and you can hear everything) and he said no because we had already sat down on the bed and he would basically lose money to change us to a different room (we were in that room for 5min, didn’t unpack and we just sat down on the bed).

If you want somewhere to bed down at night and have a shower, this place is ok. Near a tram stop to take you anywhere in edinburgh (£5 for an all day ticket is really good) . End of the day you get what you pay for hotelwise. It was comfortable and useful.

Good hotel

The stay was great. Me and my partner would deffo come again, the only 2/3 issues we had were the shower and bed. The bed- was very noisy. You would either just sit on it or move to a comfier position and it would sound like it’s waking the whole hotel up. The shower- the drainage wasn’t great as the basin was full, luckily we didn’t have a shower long enough to over flow, and on the not showering long enough, my partner couldn’t wash her hair properly as the shower went freezing even with the hot water turned on Heating- the heating isn’t controlled by the occupants in the room and would be turned off randomly. As during the day the room was cold but couldn't warm it up. And turned off in the evening.

but run down and naff you get what you pay for could definitely do with a proper clean as we found a lot of dust in the room the wifi was terrible in our room, not bad not great

The room and bathroom was to small, the walls was not sound proof I could have here people in they room, also they need to update the heater. The only good thing about the property is the location. I will not stay in that accommodation again

Not what we expected

Room was clean and looked great but service wasn’t very helpful on the website we were told there is car park available but unfortunately there wasn’t and we had to rush in the morning to get the car from the street and when staff got challenged they couldn’t give an explanation why or where we could park very ignorant as well like you didn’t feel welcome at all

Room was great for what we needed - a base to explore Edinburgh from. Staff were v helpful. Would consider staying here again. However parking fees were excessive for on street parking at £15.40 for 4 hours one day and £5.90 for 90 mins the next day 😱
