Short family break

Hotel is in the perfect location for sightseeing and shopping. Very close to train station. Rooms clean and spacious. Breakfast good quality. Only downside, one lift was out of order and took a while to get one.

So much potential but needs adjustments

The beautiful hotel is in an excellent location. There is a lot of construction, which would have been nice to know before booking. It hindered the overall ambiance and view from our room. We had two rooms, both with two beds. The first room was large and beautiful, however, the room did not cook well. The second room (right next door) was smaller, had tears in both headboards, and smelled of mildew. In addition, the hair dryer was missing the motor cover and sucked in one of our guests hair, resulting in her having to cut the hair loose to remove it. The pillows and mattresses are sub par. The breakfast was a feast and very delicious.

This hotel is UNDER CONSTRUCTION. Incredibly inconvenient and not a gracious welcome to Edinburgh. AWFUL.

Great location

Lovely hotel with friendly staff in a good location for the sights and shopping. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The lifts were a bit slow, but this seems to be the case for all Hiltons globally!

Big disappointment!

The hotel has a superb location, BUT thats where the plusses stop. Staff is unhelpful and none responsive to requests/issues raised. The rooms are run down, and the beds sinking on the sides. Room amenities are basic and just meet 4 star requirements. This hotel is NOT 4 stars, nor close to the Hilton international standard.

I absolutely love the location of this property. It is located just off the royal mile as well as close to the waverly train station. My only complaints would be about the street construction going on in front of the hotel which made it a bit difficult for airport transfers but that is of no fault of the hotel property. The hotel bar was a little lacking for variety of alcohols available and lack of ambiance for a bar setting. We mostly went off property for a drink because of this. Overall though I loved the hotel and would absolutely stay again!

First time in Edinburgh! Very impressive hotel in perfect location : close to Waverley Train Station, Royal Mile, and everything one can wish for. Perfect suite for a family of three adults! Highly recommend it. Current construction outside may affect its appeal but it’s the inside facilities that matters.
