This was our second time staying at the Holiday Inn before a flight and really good.Lovely stay and friendly staff who work hard and are always helpful. Super service at reception bar, and from waiting staff. Fantastic breakfast, full, fresh and loved the pancake machine. Great connection via the shuttle to airport so will definitely use the hotel in the future 😀 Comfortable enough room, well equipped and super shower. Snacks - chicken goujon were delicious with wine for quick evening meal and Craig's burger was nice but would have been even better if good quality beef but then we are from Aberdeenshire with best Angus beef in the world.! Thanks to all and see you again the next time we fly out of Edinburgh, Laura, Craig.

Decent for a late stop, but overpriced

We stayed here after arriving on a late flight and just needed somewhere to sleep — for that, it did the job. The room was a decent size, as was the bathroom, and check-in was easy with friendly, chatty staff. There were a couple of downsides. There was a noticeable smell as soon as we entered the room — it seemed like a drain smell — and although the floor was marked as non-smoking, there was a definite cigarette smell lingering. Breakfast was included and was okay overall. The only small issue was that the milk function on the coffee machine wasn’t working, and it wasn’t clear if or when it would be fixed. At around £250 for the night, it did feel expensive for what it was, though that does seem to be the going rate for hotels near Edinburgh Airport. All in all, it was fine for a quick overnight stay, but a few details could be improved.

This is an older property with great views of the airplanes taking off and landing. The staff was wonderful - so welcoming and helpful! There is a restaurant/bar with a nice little menu. We had a relaxing time preparing for our very early morning departure. Shuttle driver was also friendly and helpful. If we are ever fortunate enough to return to Edinburgh, we will stay here before our flight home.

Easy stay close to airport

The staff at desk was excellent! Answered all our questions and helpful. Have to pay for parking but we took our car and turned it in anyway. Great shuttle to airport!

My only real complaint was the bathroom floor. It was filthy. When the floor towel got wet and rubbed the floor the towel became filthy. It needed to be swept and washed badly.
