My stay at Hotel du Vin was lovely! I was exhausted from my train journey from London, and the staff was so caring and got me my room right away. Staff remembered my first name throughout my stay, and always greeted me and asked me if I needed anything whenever I walked by the front desk. Great location - I walked A LOT, and was able to walk to all the sights I wanted to see. Close to a lot of yummy food and gelato, as well as shops galore! I recommend getting the included breakfast, it was a peaceful and very tasty way to start the day. Thank you for the amazing stay!

Unique and beautiful stay!

Beautiful hotel, our stay was perfect from beginning to end, the reception staff was fantastic and made us feel very at home, we were given a wonderful history of the building while being shown to our room too. Myself and my partner will definitely be back! Thankyou!

This was a great boutique Hotel. Wonderful staff, rooms were comfortable, water was hot. convenient location, easily walkable to most of what there is to see. And Mums next door was the best.

Excellent hotel in a great location. Easy walk to the Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle, and Princes Street. We arrived at the hotel very early, and they took care of our luggage and us, and got us a lovely cup of tea. Just the ticket after a long haul flight. The staff were so friendly, courteous, and efficient. The room was lovely, with excellent amenities, including an iron and ironing board. Also a nice kettle, Scottish breakfast tea, and lovely Scottish biscuits. As an excellent bonus, the restaurant is simply outstanding. Delicious food, excellent wine, and impeccable service. All at quite reasonable prices, considering what you get. Finally, a really classy bar with, of course, an amazing selection of single malt whisky, and some nice fairly private seating areas. Highly recommended.

Was thoroughly impressed with this hotel. Awesome breakfast spread every morning, and all the staff was more than helpful. I want to single out one of the Managers, Paul. He went over and above to make sure all our needs were met. We had to leave at 4am to catch our flight, and he made sure we had breakfast ready for us before we left. Could not be happier, and highly recommend this hotel!

Disappointing room size

We were disappointed as hotel was recommended by friends. Had booked over 6 months prior and was put in a tiny room for 5 nights! We didnt complain at the time but they shouldve offered that there were larger rooms at the same rate. Also there were not enough outlets for charging in the room and none by the bed! We complained at the end and the manager apologized and gave a partial refund. But still, this wasn't what we had expected for a very expensive rate booked far in advance. It impacted our visit to Edinburgh.
