Very convenient location to put you within easy walking distance of many of the sites you will want to visit. Staff is extremely helpful in every way. A special shout out to Sabina, but everyone was great! Good breakfasts. Clean. Everything good.
The staff at this hotel were some of the friendliest I’ve met. Lovely people. The rooms were spotless and smelled like soap powder. Perfect for an overnight stay 👍
Great staff working here! The room was very quiet and comfortable. Close to the train station. I was in town for a bus tour around the Highlands. Walking from the hotel to the bus station was just a little over 10 minutes.
The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance of the Royal Mile. The street itself can feel a little sketchy at times with rowdy locals and a few homeless people. We didn't have any issues but made sure to be back in the hotel by 9:30. We also understand those are the consequences of being in a big city and by no means the fault or the responsibility of the hotel. Room was clean and well maintained. Wasn't quite as comfy/cozy as I would have liked but at the end of the day it was a clean place for us to rest our heads. The bathrooms reminded us of a bathroom on a cruise ship. It's all one unit that is manufactured together and then placed in the hotel room. The hotel was also able to hold our bags for us after we checked out so we didn't have to carry our luggage around the city with us all day.
Great location...close to the Royal Mile. Our room / stay was comfortable.
We were pleasantly surprised with the special Anniversary treat that they gave us shortly after check-in. Very thoughtful...and good timing.
Even though we were on the 9th floor (actually 5th floor above reception desk)...the elevators were very quick and we never had to wait too long.
We wish we had more time to tryout the restaurant / lounge area on the 3rd floor. We did a quick walk-through and it seemed to have lots of space to hang around or just kick back with friends. .
A couple more hooks in the room would help to hang jackets / towels...and it would be nice to have a small fridge to hold food/beverages bought at the small grocery store next door...but we managed to get along without them.
We would stay there again.
The staff are really nice, location is great and is walking distance to all tourists areas and Waverly station . Our AC stopped working one night and we were moved to a different room. We wanted to go back to our old room as we really liked the view and they put us back in soon as they fixed the AC.
Central location near the Castle, Holyrood Palace and Princes Street. Next to supermarket for takeout food. Friendly and helpful staff. Small very clean rooms. Good buffet breakfast, but expensive that should be free. Un-cozy efficient atmosphere, but who cares when sightseeing is your primary goal. Easy taxi pick-ups.
