Very Good

Hotel is 10 min walk from Edinburgh Waverley station and walking distance to all the main sites in Edinburgh.
Saw a few negative, reviews on the Ibis check in website for this hotel, but other than a congested reception area at times, receptionists were excellent and friendly, the room I had was quite large and very quiet, including the whole floor.
The room had a bit of wear on the flooring but for the price in this location well worth it.
As for breakfast and meals in the restaurant, I could not fault it. Breakfast served both hot and cold selections and the restaurant in the evenings had some good meal specials on offer.
I would stay here again!
Very basic accommodations so if you are okay with that then there should be no issues. Location was great and the hotel was very quiet. The room we were in was quite run down and reminded us a bit of dorm style living. Minimal hanging space and storage for clothing with no hooks anywhere, damaged flooring (looked like water damaged laminate), and hard/thin mattress were the biggest complaints.
Great property. There are two Ibis hotels so make sure you know which one you are staying at. This one is a little more off the Royal Mile but there are tons of great places to eat with in a few minutes by foot. Great staff and the hotel was very clean.
great location for Festival Theatre and plenty of choice of restaurants nearby. Room was clean but a bit sparce in terms of amenities, for example no hand towels and small open plan wardrobe, no safe box. Staff were lovely and nice and friendly. For one night it was ideal
Perfect location to see sights and very central.close to castle and loads of cages, shops and bars etc . ...stayed here before and was v good again.. basic rooms, and do t expect the Hilton but if all you need is bed, shower, TV and a place to use as a base it's perfect
The hotel is ideal for a short break. My bed was slightly broken did not stop my sleep. Breakfast was basic but fresh.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
Bathroom pod left a little to be desired!
We were attending a wedding in Edinburgh so really not intending on spending a lot of time in the hotel. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The room felt a bit like a student accommodation pod with the plastic pod ensuite in the corner of the room. The bathroom worked fine however and we did get bathrobes which was a nice touch, although it almost felt at odds with everything else in the experience. The decor was a bit tired in the room however it was clean and the bed comfortable, which were the main things for us. The NCP they are affiliated with is a short walk from the hotel. Parking nearby is free overnight but VERY expensive during the day (from 08:30 onwards). We felt charging a premium (Edinburgh) price for this was perhaps a little inappropriate and I think if we wanted to stay in the city again we would look elsewhere.
