Perfect, central location for a stay in Edinburgh! Easy walking distance from where the bus from the airport drops you at Waverley Bridge. Directly across from Waverley Station if you are doing any train travel. We were able to walk to all the attractions from Dean Village, The Royal Mile, to beyond Edinburgh Castle. Our room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Staff were friendly. Plenty of restaurants close by. If ever back in Edinburgh, would definitely stay again!

Great hotel in great location

Came to visit Edinburgh and picked this hotel for its location and reviews. Hotel is great and location canโ€™t be better for touring the city.

Staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Rooms are small compared to other double superior rooms I have stayed in and bed is definitely a small double not the standard double. Hotel location is great,2mts from train station and very easy walking distance to all attractions. Hotel is quite, they were very helpful at reception when I requested a quiet room as there is some construction work at the moment, they also gave me a voucher for a complimentary drink due to it being my birthday. Hotel is lovely and clean and very accommodating with your luggage, holding it free even after checking out, which is helpful if you are wanting to do a bit more site seeing. I have no faults for the hotel but I would like to make a suggestion, I feel the bar area would look more people friendly if the bars used for decor and the huge wooden and glass block piece of furniture were removed, as there didn't seem a purpose to the huge furniture piece blocking the guests view to the bar and staff and would also encourage a friendlier rappor with guests and bar staff? Only a suggestion.I would stay at the hotel again and yes I would recommend it.

The beds and bedding were first class. Iโ€™d stay there over and over just for that. Breakfast was very good, although expensive. No drawers of any kind to put clothes in. Bathroom fine, but again nowhere to put anything.

Great area & city but felt let down by the management within this hotel. We had an issue with our v expensive executive room- no slippers, robes, leaky shower etc but a v noisy room so not slept well!! Could hear the trains, announcements, people outside on the street & we were 5 floors up!! all due to the air vents being left open on our windows which we could not shut as far too high up. Requested a change of room but had to wait next day at 3-4pm! not happy , & a big inconvenience & not even a apology from Gabi duty mngr. we were only there for 2 days too. On a positive note Kim ( in the breakfast room) was welcoming, professional & polite- the breakfast was excellent, everything you could think off was there, fresh omelettes were v good.

Stayed for one night on our way to Speyside. Super convenient. We could take the tram from the airport, ( a 10 min walk). The train station was across from the hotel, which we took the following day to our car rental place.

We loved the staff!!! Especially Shayla the Concierge ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ she was outstanding on both our first two nights and our returning 1 night after driving through Scotland. She was exceptionally welcoming and helpful and we were thrilled to learn that she too was Canadian ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ. She made our stay at the Leonardo Royal Edinburgh that much better ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘thank you Shayla!! Our only glitch was that despite a visit from a technician, the TV in room 209 is NOT working. It will randomly change channels and change the volume without warning or prompting and in fact we couldnโ€™t even get it to stay turned off - we had to turn its switch off. This was a minor glitch and everything else, including Shayla and the other staff interactions were outstanding.
