Lovely hotel with friendly staff, great meal
Booked this hotel as it was close to family we were visiting on a last minute trip. Ample parking on arrival and a very friendly helpful young gentleman at reception, he knew the answer to any questions we had and was so knowledgeable - a real credit to the hotel. We decided to have dinner in the restaurant even though we hadn’t booked and it was no problem at all, there was a small menu and only one vegetarian option but it was really lovely, one of the nicest meals I’ve had in a long time and a great price too. The room itself was very small for a double, any more than 1 night in it would have been a squeeze. The room was also a bit dated and in need of repair but clean enough and the bed was very comfortable, next time we will try and book a larger room so we have space for our bags. Breakfast was included which was a bonus, nothing fancy but it filled a hole, cereals or a full Scottish on offer. We will be back soon I am sure!

We have book for two days for the new year festival . The event got cancelled due to the weather. We asked weather we can stay one day & get a refund for the second day . The hotel was not budging for our request. Expedia tried their best . So we lost the money on the second day. ( we didn’t stay second day ) Very bad , won’t stay or recommend this hotel in the future .

we had a lovely stay here. Room was clean, and comfortable. Breakfast excellent. Bathroom a little small and there was some difficulty getting into the bath for a shower. Staff were excellent

Okay but could be better.
Stay was ok. Was only for one night. The staff were friendly and polite. Greeted us on arrival. When getting in to room, noticed the carpets are in need of a thorough clean. Room in general was ok but dated and Spotted some spider webs and mould. Water presssure is terrible, did not enjoy shower. I do not think that this is worth the £119.00 plus £10 dog charge. More like £50.00 For these prices i would expect higher standards and cleanliness. Best thing about the hotel is the staff.

Really nice chilled out atmosphere. No stress staff are very friendly and attentive. Ive stayed before and if staying in Haddington its so close to everything. Im booking again for spring next year

Terrific staff, very kind and helpful. Breakfast which was included in the price was very good. Obvious upgrading going on with lots of work being done. Still very dated in some areas but look forward to coming again to see it finished.

Lovely place
Really comfortable bed, amenities are lovely and well kept. Due to this being and old building we could hear the people in the corridor as if they were inside the room, but nothing you can do about it. Bathroom has no windows and that makes it gather some mold in the ceiling, nothing too worrisome, just noticeable. Very quiet area with a lovely kirkyard in front and river

Good place to stay.
The room was nice and clean with some nice little extra touches. We found the food to be of a very high standard, and their small bar has a good selection of beers, wines and spirits.
