Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We loved everything about our stay on the Ocean Mist. The location is excellent, we hadn’t pre booked a parking space (I must have missed the email) but they were able to accommodate us anyway. Fabulous since we parked the car up for a couple of days and used public transport. it’s really easy to reach the city centre, the tram is just a couple of minutes away. There are lots of surrounding restaurants to choose from. The ship itself is charming, our cabin was really spacious -much larger than expected. Very quiet too. The bar area and outside deck are great, we had a lovely time sitting on the deck in the sunshine watching the world go by. Continental breakfast is plentiful, the staff were friendly (Toni). A final big thank you to Daniel, the Duty Manager who kindly forwarded some items we left behind. We’ll definitely stay again.

This was one of the most unique hotel experiences we have ever had, we loved it! The boat was beautifully renovated, the room was small but comfortable. We loved the outdoor seating and the bar/breakfast room areas.

This hotel is a boat!

First of all, it was not apparent to us when we made a reservation that THIS IS A BOAT! Since we're avid boaters we were delighted to learn that our hotel was floating. This is a charming hotel and the staff were especially friendly. Our only issues were that the breakfast room is quite small and we had a hard time finding a place to sit. Also, since it is a boat our bathroom floor was quite sloped and we had concerns about slipping on the tiled floor, which was very slick.

Great unique 2 night stay while we explored Edinburgh during the Fringe. Cabin was perfect. Big comfy bed, strong shower and quality finish throughout. Breakfast at the bar each morning was lovely and the staff couldn’t be more helpful. Tony was so professional despite the demands of the crowded 9am sitting. Reception were likewise and the young barman who served us on our first night was the perfect host. Tram stop is minutes away from the ship so getting to the city centre when we didn’t fancy the hike up Leith Walk was great. Hope to be back next year.

There was no restaurant, however, a very good continental breakfast was served in the bar/lounge. The room had no television. Despite this, the stay was enjoyable and somewhat novel.
