Lovely one night stay. A quirky alternative to staying in a traditional hotel and at a great price for the standard of accommodation. A warm friendly welcome at check in. The room was beautifully furnished in traditional ships style with a comfy large bed. Breakfast was very tasty and plentiful served in the ships bar. Situated on the water at Leith with shops, cafes and restaurants on the doorstep yet a short taxi ride into the centre. A fantastic short stay.

What a fantastic place to stay. The ship is in the very heart of Leith with pubs and restaurants nearby. It is only a short walk away from the Royal Yacht Britannia. The cabins are extremely well finished and very comfortable. The ship has its own bar. You can sit inside or outside on two decks. The included breakfast buffet is served in the bar.

We stayed three nights on the ocean mist. Breakfast was great and cocktails on the boat were even better in the evening. The room we stayed in was small but quaint. Loved staying on the boat. Would definitely stay on the ocean mist again. Truly outstanding overall.

The Staff was amazing, they were so very helpful and friendly. The whole concept of the Ocean Mist is so unquiet and our room was so great in it's design. Our stay at the Ocean Mist is one that we will always remember.

First off, I somehow missed that the Ocean Mist is a renovated ship (that's docked), so that was a lovely surprise. Our room was very clean, updated, and well-appointed. Staff was warm and friendly. Wish he could have stayed longer.

All I can say is wow! My husband booked the presidential suite as a birthday surprise for me and it did not disappoint. It's opulent, quirky, luxurious and an amazing experience. From the minute we boarded to the minute we left we were made feel welcome by all 'captains'. The outside/inside bar was great, we had a sunny day, so sat on the deck watching the world go by, but I imagine on a wet day it would be cosy inside. The bed and amenities of the room were great & comfortable, and the copper bath... I say quirky, well it's a boat, but the love that's gone into this to make it a comfortable experience is 2nd to none. We were at the bow of the boat, so the room slopes, but as i said, the arttention to detail was amazing. It's a seconds walks from bar/restuarants, coffe shops/cafes and shops, and 5 minutes walk to Leith walk. The continetal breakfast was so fresh and tasty, a selection of meats, cheese, cereal, salmon, fresh fruit, yoghurts, breads, patries, fresh juice, tea/coffee, catering for all dietary conditions. I highly recommend.

Boat-tastic

From embarking to disembarking it was 100% amazing as were all the staff. Friendly welcome, amazing room (my only issue was the noise the hummidifer was making but on our second night it had been taken out the room) great bar staff & drinks sitting on the deck, tasty & plenty choice with good times for breakfast & just nothing was out of place or an issue for the staff. I didn’t expect the Ocean Mist to hold so much history & the staff were happy to answer questions. Would love to go back & upgrade the room. What a weekend on board this amazing boat.

Lovely boutique hotel

A lovely place to stay for one night. Friendly helpful staff. The boat is well maintained, very clean, in an interesting area with lots of cafes/pubs/restaurants. 45 minute walk to city centre, or easy tram ride. Breakfast on the boat is lovely, we sat outside. Ultimately though we would not want to stay for more than one night - the room was too stuffy for us (ineffective air con) and too light (the slatted blinds leak light). Personal taste but the pillows were way too bulky - I woke up with a crick in my neck! So not a lot of sleep for us, but during the day the boat/hotel is fabulous.

I’m a boat guy and am used to tight quarters on my sailboat but our stateroom was the chain locker on the bow of an old reconditioned ship so the floor was slanted down quite a bit toward the aft making it difficult to get up from the bed. My second issue was a complete lack of space with no chairs or anywhere to put on shoes or open a suitcase. Otherwise the staff and the breakfast were delightful and I would recommend this charming and unforgettable experience.

Great stay. Room was stunning and there were a few wee surprises for my husbands birthday. The place was spotless and everything was finished to a high standard. Bar area excellent, cocktails delicious and staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was beautiful. Excellent location.
