Great room for 2 adults and 3 kids. Hotel was totally dog friendly for our Labrador. The staff are excellent all round and made us super welcome. Breakfast was 10/10, I just can’t fault it. Oh and it’s a great location, ten min ish walk to the station (if you go the right way and avoid the steps!)

A quirky hotel. Friendly staff, comfortable modern room. Really good breakfast. Great location in the old town. The lounge area at the Eve restaurant was comfortable for a glass of wine and we even observed the pasta making group which looked very interesting! We shall definately be back!

We stayed here for a little get away hoping to have a lovely time we chose a castle view room and we were having a nice experience in the hotel until it came to going to bed. If you want to be kept up until 4am in the morning and get one of the worst night sleeps ever then this is a good hotel. The liquid room night club next to it will be blaring techno music all night. We rang reception at 1:15am due to not being able to sleep the manager came up listened to the noise then looked at his phone then said well it’s 45 minutes until 2am which is when it quietens down (which is definitely not true) said he would get us some ear plugs, they didn’t have any… worst night sleep me and my partner have had in a very very long time. Will not be staying here again.

The room was excellent, compact but well designed and spotless. Twice daily cleaning/turn down service andreplenishment of bottled water , coffee etc was a real bonus. The hotel is superbly situated in Edinburgh and has really excellent facilities in terms of bars, restaurants and the library. Staff were top quality and so helpful.

I cannot rate this hotel more highly. The staff went above and beyond to get me into my room early at no extra fee, and even upgraded me. The room was absolutely beautiful and spotless, and the bed was so comfy that I almost couldn’t get out of it. The mini bar was stocked with lovely treats and the bar made me the best margarita I’ve had in years. I cannot wait to come back, thanks so much for having me!

Hotel itself is lovely, great location but had issues regarding room & SMEG fridge being within bedroom itself & not vanity area so had machine noises rumbling on & off all night.
