After three consecutive annual stays at the Mettara Hotel, this will sadly be our last. The suite that once felt well-kept and comfortable now shows clear signs of neglect—worn furnishings, tired finishes, and a noticeable drop in overall upkeep. Street noise from motorcycles and cars, always part of the location, has now become almost unbearable, making it hard to enjoy any time in the room. The neighborhood remains dynamic and soulful, but the hotel no longer offers the quality or value that once justified staying here.

Super great stay, they use a valet service for parking and you unload in front of the lobby. It can get a little backed up, but the staff is friendly and efficient. I really felt like they went the extra mile.

We had a wonderful stay here! The front desk staff were so friendly and accommodating. Our room waa comfortable, clean and spacious. The location was excellent. Close to great restaurants, the farmer's market and Kinsmen Park. Highly recommend.

Room was clean, staff were great and always available to help. Breakfast was very good. The only two points to consider are 1.Street is dirty and noisy and somehow unsafe. 2.Paid parking has no gate or security so homeless people wander in the parking. I did't cut one star because the environment is downtown Edmonton and not in control of the hotel management.
