The staff member we dealt with was great. However, the rooms (we had two stays there, on our way to and from Ottawa) could have been much cleaner. There was dust under the TV, etc. and the floors were filthy, in both rooms in which we stayed - #1 and #12. In the latter room, the bathtub faucet and spout were all water stained, so we did not even shower. We got up in the morning and put our clothes on and left. We will not be staying there on any future travels. The bathroom floor tile in #12 were all broken and had some odd pieces filling in. The workmanship was terrible. Caulking looked like a child had done it with gobby icing. The rooms really need fussing up if they want to have their business survive. It’s unfortunate. Donna

This was a perfect spot while we were traveling and celebrated our 43rd Wedding Anniversary their . the staff gave us a basket of goodies to help celebrate and it was very nice of them. We were traveling with our Pocket Beagle and the hotel was very Pet Friendly.

I have only good things to say about La Roma and its owners. Friendly, cheerful, helpful Owner & Wife. Room was clean clean clean. Yes, the motel is old, but its charming. There's an outdoor pool, access to a river with picnic tables on the lawn. Chairs outside the room allow for relaxing before dark. The bed was comfortable and the night was quiet. There's an attached restaurant with delicious Indian food. We enjoyed curry shrimp. This place is not luxurious but its extremely comfortable and very economical. Would not hesitate to stay here again on our way through .

Was very clean and easy to find. Owner has done a good job refurbishing an older motel. He was very nice to talk with. Price was very reasonable. Would definately stay again if going this way.

This is an older hotel with a new owner. The room was older but clean with no rugs so no smell. The property is alongside a creek/stream and quite pretty. There is a pool but it was closed when we were there since it was September. This is a family run motel. It suited our needs well. The restaurant on site is Indian but other restaurants are just a short drive away.

We were welcomed back as we had been there last year, around the same time. Wonderful place, great location, very clean comfortable ad the food in the restaurant was to do for! We'll definitely be back.

The door to our room did not shut all the way. The Temperature dipped down to freezing which made for an uncomfortable a cold sleep.. The good- I had the buttered chicken from their restaurant and it was excellent . All the staff were very pleasant and very accommodating . I definitely will be back

The motel room was not ok. Awful actually. The door into the room doesn't close properly, which left a big crack between the door and trim. Perfect for mosquito and spiders. The air conditioner was really noisy and didn’t work properly...the fan kept seizing, making a screeching sound. The fan over the bed only worked when the lights were on. One switch worked the fan, lights over the tub and one over the tv. We removed the bulbs to use the fan because it was over 25⁰c. The toilet is crammed between the shower stall and wall, with barely enough room to sit for a 5ft 125 lb woman. The shower is tiny, old and leaky. This room needs a complete renovation. It is smelly with a strong scent of mold and worn out carpets. The bed was comfortable with clean bedding and good pillows. The restaurant is Indian food, it was fantastic and fairly priced. We had the Butter Chicken and Lemon Chicken dishes, both were really really good. We won't stay at the motel again but would visit the restaurant again.
