The place is super well kept. The staff is amazing always friendly. Food was perfect. The rooms did have a distinct sewer type smell I did change rooms and the second room was not as bad but still was there it comes from the toilet I’m sure. The roads to get there are awful get ready for that drive. Everything is far rent a car.

We had our family of four at Riu Palace Costa Rica for Spring Break. The property was very clean, staff was wonderful, and the dining options were top-notch for an all-inclusive resort. We had a wonderful time and will likely return.

Safety alert! DO NOT WALK BY YOURSELF TO THE DISCO TECH AT NIGHT! Keep your eyes this is a trap for tourists who are by themselves. Also the food was awful and rooms smelled musty.

Staff here are very pleasant and accommodating. There are dogs around… very friendly. I loved that there are a lot of pools so chairs are not too much of a problem. It was windy while we were there so leaves in pool but not bad. The staff are constantly cleaning. That being said, there is a septic odor in bathroom but we got used to it. The rooms are nicely kept. The buffets have a lot to choose from and the food is fabulous. The road to the resort needs a lot of attention. The first room we had smelled like a sewer. The hotel offered a bottle of wine at an all inclusive hotel as a solution to the bad smell. Wine was not a solution. The second room had weak water pressure, one day there was no hot water.
