Best breakfast

It’s one of the biggest rooms we ever stayed in . Bathroom is updated and beds are comfy. But best of the breakfast is the very best with great service.

Great place to stay in Bardstown

We went to visit attractions in the Bardstown area, including Heaven Hill Distillery. The Talbott Inn is well situated for stays that include visits along the Bourbon Trail. The building has a rustic charm, and the rooms are modern and comfortable. The staff was friendly and eager to help. Having the tavern so close is a plus and the complimentary breakfast was exceptional.

Amazing place lots of history, room over the bar was loud but it’s to be expected when you stay at a old hotel with only 6 guest rooms. We loved it, the balcony is great in the evening people watching and the old fashions are great.

I enjoyed learning about the history of the hotel and the famous people who have stayed there. Staff was super friendly. Close to distilleries and a golf course. On a busy intersection, so if you don't like noise, this is not the place for you. And the singer's voice in the bar carries through out the hotel. Neither bothered me. Nice balcony as well. I would stay here again on my next Bourbon Trail trip.

Bourbon Trail 2025

I booked my room months in advance at the same time with 2 other couples and they put us in the older part of the hotel without notice, while the other 2 couples traveling with us were in the renovated part of the hotel. We were not told of this until 2 days before traveling and by then all other rooms in the hotel were booked for the weekend. Water in shower was cold, room smelled musty, bed was not comfortable at all. Not a great experience.

It'a great old inn. Room was large, AC worked well, had night shades for good sleeping. Ask for a room away from main road as there is noise. Eat at the Inn resturant and get the Bread Pudding: the best I have eaten in 5 years!!!

Beware of live music

Wonderful historic old inn in downtown Bardstown, in good condition, limited parking but plenty nearby. Be aware there is live music Thursday until 10pm, Friday and Saturday until 01.00 directly bellow rooms 4, 5 & 6, and I don't know if it will affect other rooms
