Liked: easy off and on from Route 66. Several dining options listing at check in. Offering a bar for after hours. Improvements: Breakfast options need to be expanded. I prefer fruit, yogurt, and toppings to the normal waffles, eggs, biscuits, and gravy. Only whole apples, nothing to mix with the yogurt.

We arrived early hoping that we could check in early. The lady at the desk said no rooms were available. After waiting in the lobby for about an hour, at 3:00 (check in time) exactly, they informed us that our room was ready. Another couple was also waiting & they were called to the desk to check in at 3:00 also. When we got to our room it smelled very bad. It was apparent that no one had stayed there for some time. Thankfully we travel regularly & had essential oils to spray & diffuse to make the room smell better. Also, most of the employees were not friendly. To us that was terrible customer service especially since both us & the other couple are seniors. We will try another nearby hotel next time since we travel to that area several times a year and there are several competing hotels.

The property is very nice, clean and spacious rooms, pet friendly. But the staff member at the desk was not friendly. If you work on the hospitality field I think being hospitable should be a requirement.

The room was very small and the bed was hard as a rock. The shower was very nice. Pet-friendly but too many openings for cats to crawl in and hide under bed. We had to remove the mattress and box springs to find our scared cats. Close up those openings! Also, breakfast was subpar, at best. The gravy for the biscuits was cold

Handicap curb

I took my dogs out to potty and fell over the curb. There is no handicap walkway by the dog potty area. I am handicapped and have a hard time stepping on the curb. After falling we had to call fire department to help get me up.

The staff is difficult. We were there 3 full days, 2 nights and never had our sheets changed or towels. Never even asked if we wanted our room cleaned. We added a night (didn't stay, but needed it all day long) and it was SO difficult. Then, when we left that evening and asked to check out they told us we couldn't check out. We'd have to call the next day to check out????

Poor Customer Service

The place is fairly clean for the most part. Beds not very comfortable. Very difficult to deal with around a few hotel specific policies that should have been stated CLEARLY before booking. Staff not very friendly after being asked about the issue, became very short and simply stated that it was La Quinta policy. When asked further about the policy, and wanting to see it in writing, staff stated that it was their policy at this hotel only. Very dissatisfied with this hotel and will not be back.
