At Second glance it looked better

We booked late and arrived late after driving from Yellowstone. Everything worked smoothly and was ready when we arrived. Price seems fair. There is plenty of parking, neighborhood looks safe. Some iditols were yelling outside in the middle of the night. Clean, very quiet for being in town. Beds comfortably. It looks like someone started a renovations. Still needs a few fixes. A mirror on the wall is only attached with one screw and the box for tissues keeps falling off the wall. Plenty of towels. However, when we first entered the room, we were taken back. The smell was awful, and it made the room look dingy and dirty. The AC looks dirty and smells horrid. We were lucky enough that it was a cool night and we could open the windows and only use the fan.

While the cost, on-site owner, and bed were completely acceptable, my room was in need of repair and updating. There is no elevator, as the building only has two stories, but carrying a heavy suitcase up the stairs was somewhat difficult. The breakfast is sparse—cereal and fruit—but the fact that anything is offered is surprising for a motel room at its price point.

This hotel was probably great and it's heydays. The mattress was excellent. The layout of the room and furniture was convenient but had not been maintained. With a little bit of love and care and fixing I am sure this will be five stars again

Pretty good and budget friendly!

Pros: The check-in was easy and we were greeted nicely. The bed was comfortable. Sheets were clean. New floor and tub tile was nice. Had a clean microwave and fridge. Comfortable on a budget price. Cons: Tight parking lot. No room for big vehicles. Ceiling fan rattled when on, but only needed it one night. Floor heater in bathroom not clean. Wall ridge in bathroom was quite dusty. When turning on the shower, if the pull up knob was not up all the way, the pipes made a horrible sound in the walls. Be sure you pull it up completely! Overall: it was a good stay for not a lot of money. It served our needs and we slept well!

The property is quite old and the outside is dull and unappealing. It could use a little sprucing-up. But, for the very reasonable price, it was a clean and comfortable place to spend a night. Despite the wear and tear of time, the general condition is good, and the room was warm and appealing. Also, the manager and his wife were courteous and accommodating. If I come back to Elko, I would be perfectly happy to book the room again.

Good for a quick stay in Elko. Conveniently located. The beds were a little lumpy. The heating /cooling system was not working properly. The heat was not adjustable and the cooling was not working properly, it just constantly blew heat.

Great Staff, Clean, Safe and Affordable

The owner of the hotel and his family are always so nice and have always treated myself, and employees I’ve had stay here with respect. They are very accommodating and are fair priced. If you’re in town for work, go here.
