Terrible. Deserves zero stars. No heat smelled and staff was rude and unprofessional. It was a scam. And Expedia did nothing to help. DONT BOOK HERE

I’ve stayed here a few different times. This time was in rm 406. It just seemed to be somewhat dirty I wouldn’t walk on the carpet barefooted. The bathroom sink sprayed water in every direction. The shower head needs replaced couldn’t get water to actually spray. It just dumped water on you. I believe it must have changed ownership lately and it seems to be going down hill It was such a great place to stay. Probably will never stay there again. But you can’t beat the location to downtown. If you don’t care about anything else but sleeping. Which reminds me bring your own pillows. Those were terrible also.

Multiple buildings but Main house/lodging appeared remodeled and rooms were updated nicely. Not sure how the Brown lodge building was, but most likely the reason for others bad ratings. Staff had limited English and breakfast was only cereals and bagels/muffins (unless they packed away foods before the stated 10am)

We’ve stayed here many times as we love the walkable location. Have always overlooked the fact that it is very basic, but now it’s time to update! Had trouble turning the shower on & the handle came right off! The TV was horrible, nothing in the room matches (rug, comforters, walls), there was food in our garbage when we got there .. all fixable things that would make it more pleasant if addressed

It was ok, but being that we were in Ellicottville we assumed a little better of a clean room. We found a dirty sock by the bed, a dirty used towel on the bathroom door hanging up, hair on the wall of shower and the bathroom sink was massively clogged. Breakfast kinda saddened me as we got the basic of the basic. Nothing hot but coffee.

We checked in a little early. Arrived to our room. The room was very cold and musty smelling. The room would need some updating. We were told that breakfast was available. There was no coffee and not much was available. The yogurt was expired. We had breakfast at Tim Hortons. We weren’t in our room very long but would not recommend this place.

Towels under the sink to catch a water leak were soaked. Desk manager wasnt very friendly. Breakfast had orange juice past the best buy day. Bagels were stale. And cups of peanut butter for toast were hard. Dated but fairly clean and comfortable. Could use some new shower heads and tvs are way out of date and ours had some static lines floating through it.

Our group stays here every year. This year was terrible. New Management is rude and condescending. The cabins and lodge are rustic and we know that, but this year was terrible. Rooms smelled awful. Glad plug ins everywhere to mask the moldy, disgusting odors. Bathroom drain was clogged. Step on stairs in the chalet falling off and pitched forward so it’s a hazard. Fire pit is gone, no please or thank you at this property. Next year I book elsewhere. I don’t expect anything fancy, but this place has lost the charm it once had, very sad.
