Friendly helpful staff.

Staff were pleasant, helpful and friendly, led by a great example from Anna, the manager. All inclusive food option amongst the best we have experienced. Property was spotless and room was of good size. Even though this was boutique hotel of only about 50 rooms, there were still day and evening activities for those who wanted to join in. Free parking was easy on a quiet rood just off the main route through Aghia Marina and outside the hotel. There is a convenient pathway from the rear of the hotel down to the main road, which about 50 yards long. Getting back up shouldn’t be an issue for anyone of average fitness with some steps then up to the pool area, though not suitable this way for anyone with mobility issues. All in all, we saw many good reviews before we booked and we were not disappointed. I can think of many so- called 5* hotel chains who could learn much from the way this hotel is run… Highly recommended!

Room across the street which was not described. Overpriced.

The only positive aspect of this hotel is its location it offers a nice view and is just a few minutes from the beach. However, the rooms are outdated and fall far short of a 5-star standard. The restaurant is chaotic, with a lack of seating, dirty tables, and repetitive food that is often cold by the time you get to the table. The Albanian bar staff, particularly the manager at the pool bar, are extremely rude and clearly inexperienced. Drinks are charged for after 11 PM ( even for all inclusive guests) Overall, I would not stay at this hotel again. Don’t be fooled by the pictures or pricing it does not match the advertised quality. This hotel is a 3 star hotel not 5 for sure.

The location on the seaside is great. There is a private beach with sun beds for the use of the guests. Rooms facing the sea are very nice. Clean and well maintained. Breakfast is very good. The staff is nice and very helpful. We stayed for four nights, after two nights we asked if it possible to be moved to second floor (nicer view but somewhat smaller room) and after checking they have moved us up for the rest of the stay. All in all on a decimal scale I would rate 9/10.

The rooms and the staff were absolutely amazing. If you travel as a young family with infants, this is the place to go for you. I was not prepared for the amount of small children in this resort. It was not advertised as such. The amount of crying children in the dining room was overwhelming at times. The food choices were plenty, however the quality of the food was poor, which mainly resulted in my low rating for this property. For example, you were not served orange juice, but orange taste… Whatever that means. The hotel bar closed at 11 PM which is probably also a sign that this resort is targeted for younger families and not adult vacationers. The beach was easily accessible by foot in less than five minutes, and there is a public bus driving to Chania, which we took advantage of quite often. There are plenty of other restaurants in walking distance if you want to pivot from your all inclusive package to the amazing Greek food otherwise available on the island.

Had the most amazing time here at Sansal Chania Crête, the staff are amazing and so friendly, this is our first visit to Crete Sansal and we definitely will return, the roof top pool and bar was an added bonus, at times we had the whole pool area to ourselves which was fabulous, the bar staff were very helpful and knowledgeable of the area. Breakfast was superb, cereals, cooked breakfast, pastries, jams, nuts, continental breakfast as well, fresh orange juice, choice of hot beverages. Staff speak excellent English so excellent communication. Our room had a sea view which we never tired off, the road the hotel is on was quiet at night although it did have traffic it never affected our stay, the room was cleaned every day and they did a fabulous job. Location of hotel was perfect 10 min walk to local port where all the tavernas are, we also had a meal at the hotel which was reasonably priced and great quality. Then 10-15 minute walk in opposite direction was the beach, plenty of sun beds to rent plus excellent service on the beach for drinks and food. Only 30 minutes from Chania airport which we contacted Sansal before we arrived and they organised the taxi shuttle for us, which went very smoothly. Glass boat trip was worth the money too, would recommend the hop on hop off bus trip which picks you up practically outside the hotel, we enjoyed sitting on the bus for 90 mins sight seeing.
