This hotel needs a serious overall. Pretty rundown. Front desk was nice. Rooms were fine for a night, but wouldn’t return. Vending machines not adequately stocked. Parking structure was filled with storage items and spaces were tight.

The place is very close to the ocean (they could work on adding a save path down the hill if they know that guests use that route regularly). People at the hotel are very friendly and tried to help. We parked our car after checking out and they were cool about it. We enjoyed our stay.

Close to beach and amenities but disappointing.

The amenities sounded great - ocean views, balcony, pool and hot tub but the quality of the location was disappointing. The floors of the room left our feet dirty, the shower didn’t drain and there was nobody onsite to fix it and the manager wasn't able to find another room for us and there were socks found in the room from the previous guests. The onsite breakfast was mediocre and the lobby couches smelled loudly. It was convenient located to the beaches and restaurants and great to have even a small fitness center.

I would give this hotel 3 1/2 stars, as I wasn’t expecting anything extra extravagant or over-the-top. I would just say the outside and surrounding area areas felt very outdated. Although the rooms were mostly clean and upgraded in the recent past. For a quick one or two nights stay this is a great spot because you’re right central to the downtown area of Encinitas, and the price is reasonable.

We liked the room was very clean, we could walk to downtown Encinitas (the driveway hill is pretty steep) The proximity to the interstate is good. Could be an excellent hotel with A LOT of TLC.

The pictures are deceptive and the rooms are old. We checked in and the smell of bleach lingered for 4-5 hours. The remodeling was mediocre and the hotel itself was just old. We left after the first night because it was just not worth the stay!

Amazing views, very comfortable rooms

The view was absolutely stunning. We were surprised to see how close we were to the train station, and often heard the trains going off. The patio has a beautiful view of the beach and sunset. The swimming pool area looks very nice as well.
