This is your basic cheap-ish motel. Not fancy by a long shot, but clean and quiet. It's right on the Coast Hwy, a few blocks from the water but a short walk to the Steps Beach. The "pool" is tiny and sits right on the road; it is really un-usable, unless you want to just sit in it. The breakfast is made up of store-bought pastries, cereals and not very good coffee (there were apples, though). Walk a couple blocks down to Panikin for great coffee and breakfast. I made my reservation weeks in advance and requested via email a specific room. My request was ignored until a day or two before my arrival, at which time I was told it would be "subject to availability". And of course the room I'd requested well in advance wasn't available when I checked in. So don't bother communicating with them in advance since they apparently can't be bothered.

Ok at Brisa
If your traveling solo or a couple and your staying just a day or two it's ok. Brisa is just a run of the mill mom and pop hotel trying to make buck. Front desk was semi helpful in knowledge of surrounding area. Rooms were renovated to the point it was just ok, the shower was a glorified closet with a shower head. Restaurants and shops to downtown Encinitas is a good 20 minute walk same amount of time to Moonlight Beach, which was very nice. Uber to Encinitas $10. Overall 21/2 stars.😏

I’ve stayed at this hotel several times due to the awesome location. It appears there may be some renovations happening- the walls in our bathroom were patched up? Linens were clean but the pillows smelled. Even though the cases were clean, they were older and stained pillows inside. This is a great little hotel in Encinitas.

Worthy of a stay in transit or as a Beach stop
I didn’t spend much time in the room but it was comfortable and spacious. Everything seemed clean, area seemed convenient if you want to go the beach, 4 minutes away. Also 30 minutes from San Diego, I stopped there on the way. Staff was friendly, area is pretty quiet. Breakfast is nothing fancy, but better than nothing and I was happy to have it. Overall a pleasant stay and I would stay again if in the area.

Killer staff and they are very accommodating. Excellent location if you’re there just to surf. Walking distance from beach access. Dog friendly hotel. They could benefit from installing a little doggie area in the back.
