My room was upgraded from a partial ocean view to full! That was really nice and the view was amazing! It’s two blocks from moonlight beach, not one (I saw some people say one block) but two! You then have to walk still some more to the other side of the lifeguard building as they were doing construction when I was there, and the part of beach right near the motel was closed ! But the beach is wonderful and they provide beach chairs and there was an umbrella, but no beach towels so bring your own! There is a train near by and it sounds it horns several times when passing, so it can be loud due to that. I wore ear plugs and didn’t have any issues falling asleep but was awakened pretty early like 5amish the first day, due to the horns. Not sure how people live in that area with the constant trains passing, maybe use to it, because it’s a really nice neighborhood and populated well! There’s a good amount of steep hills if you’re walking around to be mindful of! Parking available for free! I liked my stay, Encinitas was nice , the motel and grounds were nice, but it is a 30 min drive from San Diego city, so not sure if I would stay again, oh and because of the trains!

This is our Happy Place. Perfect in every way. Immaculate rooms and views to die for. Great staff. Five minute walk to the beach. We could easily live and die here. Love it. Will always return to this quiet, amenable paradise. No need to ever return to Hawaii.

This motel is truly a hidden gem! It is a 3 minute walk to the beach! The staff was amazing and very accommodating. The rooms are very clean and quiet. We will definitely book again anytime we are in Encinitas!

Room was perfect, better than we hoped for. Good size, clean, comfortable, great views. The bathroom was also a good size especially the shower. The only thing I'd recommend would be somewhere to hang towels as you dont always want to block your ocean view with a towel airing out on the balcony. Great location to the beach and town. Staff were great, housekeepers friendly. We forgot to leave a tip as checking out with a baby is busy but we planned to as we felt it was deserved.
