Motel type properties can be run down, but not the Sunset Lodge! You can tell that the owner(s) care at this establishments. The rooms were cozy and renovated. I loved the shower. The water pressure was good and the temperature got hot. With it being near the road, you can hear some road traffic but it surprisingly didn’t affect my sleep at all. It was also COLD outside and the heat kept the room plenty warm. The place is nothing fancy, but it's affordable, clean, and a comfortable stay. Would stay here again!

My new go to when in Escanaba

Great stay. I will definitely book here again next time I am in Escanaba. It’s a great local property that is pretty unassuming, but it is clean, comfortable and a very nice stay overall. Avoid the chain hotels in the area and consider staying here.

It was a cute little bijou room. The only issue was how long it took for the hot water to get to us. I honestly thought the water heter had gome out, lolz!

Nice locally owned property. Nice amount of floor space. Microwave, Fridge & coffee maker a plus. Our room was at the end of the building, you needed to run the water for a bit before taking a shower. Otherwise everything was great

Sunset Lodge was just as shown online. Our room was recently updated. Warm, clean, comfy, close to many, many restaurants, craft brewery, right off US2. Sunset was everything we needed with a very reasonable price!
