Very comfortable and clean room with a nice view. The breakfast is very continental with a small selection but we preferred Starbucks which was across street. Staff is friendly and location was great. Close to downtown but not crowded. Would stay here again!

This place is very close to downtown so you can just walk instead of driving and avoiding pay parking in downtown. Close to Safeway, Starbucks and McDonald if you need to grab something to eat in odd hours, also close to Rocky Mountain National Park entrance. It will be nice if property gets some upgrades for flooring and plumbing.

Discovery Lodge in Estes Park was a greatb place to stay on our trip to Yellowstone!! We loved the area too. Our check in was kinda late but they accommodated us when I let them know, and the two girls st the desk were great!! Little lodge-like rooms were awesome… very clean and comfortable!

The room we stayed in was adequate for our needs, very convenient to things in the area that we wanted to see, walking distance to Estes Park Visitor's Center, restaurants, and souvenir shops. Beds were ok but pillows were very flat and uncomfortable. Breakfast is continental only, not a full breakfast as advertised on Hotels.com. If you like muffins, cereal, and pre-packaged waffles, then you won't be disappointed. If you're expecting a full, fresh breakfast then you might want to stay elsewhere. Customer service was polite and professional.

Great Stay Near RMNP with Affordable Comfort

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at Discovery Lodge while visiting Rocky Mountain National Park. Our room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with a mini fridge, freezer, and microwave. We had plenty of space to unpack and relax. Compared to other options in the area, it was very affordable. The complimentary breakfast wasn’t fancy but definitely satisfying, with cereal, yogurt, toast, fruit, and pre-packaged waffles, which we enjoyed with syrup and peanut butter (make sure you toast them first). There were also prepackaged cheez-its that we took with us as a hiking snack during the day. The hotel grounds include a playground, and one morning we were treated to the sight of about a dozen elk grazing nearby! I worked remotely one morning and had no issues with the Wi-Fi. The location is perfect, close to both Estes Park and the entrance to RMNP. If you’re expecting luxury, you might be disappointed but for a “national park adjacent town” motel stay, this was a fantastic place. We’d happily stay here again and highly recommend it.

The room was nice and looked to be recently updated. The property was relaxing. The entrance into the property was horrible and the pavement around the property had a lot of pot holes. Not good for your vehicle or rims but definitely worth the price.

The rooms are cozy and offered a cabin-like feeling. It was right in town and easy to get to and from the popular spots (downtown and RMNP). My only complaint was the beds weren't the greatest.

Don't Book through Hotels.COM

It's a nicely renovated older property with a nice pond, grass, etc. The staff was pleasant and wonderful. HOWEVER DO NOT BOOK THROUGH HOTELS. COM !!! -- I left a day early and I now have to deal with the famous customer non-support of Hotels.Com. From bad software to bad support, Hotels.com (Expedia) is a disaster.

It was a great! We were able to extend our stay an extra day due to weather concerns for our drive back home. Staff was fantastic! Would definitely consider this property again on our next trip to Estes Park! Only issue we had, no fault of the staff, was dealing with loud, next door young couple for a couple of nights!
