This was my first time staying at the YMCA of the Rockies. I had no idea how big the property was, and all the different facilities there were. There were "camps" of children and teenagers while I was there, but the building I was in was very quiet. I stayed there to visit Rocky Mountain National Park, so was not in my room that much, but when I was there, the people around were very pleasant.

the property is absolutely beautiful but it is very expensive for what you get. we were put in the Rainbow building which is in need of updating, carpeting is in terrible shape, coming up in many areas creating many tripping hazards. It smells terrible, like stinky feet throughout the building. The bed is very uncomfortable, you end up in the middle of the bed because of the “divot” in the mattress. Everything is obviously the cheapest quality made, from the toilet paper to the linens. I don’t expect highest quality but when all the linens feel like sandpaper it is time to replace them

Amazing resort. Fantastic views, & entertainment
We had an amazing stay at this resort. It reminded me of the film Dirty Dancing. Everything was under one roof and the entertainment and activities on offer were fantastic. I was gutted we couldn't stay for longer

The location is perfect! The rooms are very basic which we were aware of. We were a party of two and had two sets of bunk beds and a double bed. Seemed like a waste of space for two people. Check in was easy and the person was very nice and helpful! If you are there just to sleep and enjoy the great outdoors this is a very economical choice!

What a hidden gem just outside of the Rocky Mountain National Park. Unbelievable views of the Rockys from our window and elk roaming around freely within the grounds.

The room was just ok. It fit the bill because I was only staying in it for 10 hours. Pillows were more on the flat side, and not very comfortable but I grabbed extras from the bunk beds. What bothered me the most was the bright hallway light coming from underneath the door. I just ended up throwing a blanket from one of the other beds on the floor to cover it up. If you’re a sensitive sleeper I recommend bringing earplugs. I could hear anytime someone was using their sink.

When you book through Expedia, YMCA punishes you. And they tell you with a smile. “Let’s put you in the weird old building where we put our Expedia guests, with no amenities. It’s where we usually put the kids’ groups, camps and such.” I unpack and sleep one night in a cold, unseated, dank room with a heater that is placed along the wall next to the toilet where kids have obviously missed the toilet. Ok fine. I’ll deal with it. Not a single person is in the entire building. Me. Alone in a giant building of empty rooms. Fine. Whatever. I wake up and head into the Park for a long day. When I return exhausted around 8:30pm, I park my car and sit. Gathering my thoughts for a minute. While sitting there, within 30 seconds, 100 kids and their adult chaperones appear in front of me, all descending down the hill in front of my car, and pack into a line in front of the building waiting to enter. I sit there dumbfounded. I immediately drive to the front desk and request a room change. While asking, I mention a concern of mine which is concern over my health around so many kids (my son has special needs and is immunocompromised), and was ridiculed for my concern by a the desk clerk. A manager appeared and changed my room. But not before I was utterly disgusted with being treated like I was crazy for suggesting my concern. Room eventually rebooked which meant I had to move from building to building late at night after a long day. Would not recommend

Location was SUPERB. The only problem we had was that the blanket on the bed had a lot of different hairs on it (not ours). I think the kind of blanket attracts hair, but it was a little icky. We had bunk beds in our room, so we ended up just trading blankets. But other than that, the location was great and Mary was so sweet. Overall, good experience!
