The manager, woman with glasses at the front desk is cold and unfriendly, same with the curly haired bartender. Pool is weird. Food is ok. Cleaning staff so friendly!

Not familiar with the area- it was truly an accident that i stayed next to the University. The room that i was given was in a building behind the actual hotel- perhaps made over dorms? Stair access only, which was not a problem for me. It was definitely musty in the stairwells and upon entrance into the room. For the actual room, it was a good amount of space and had a cute little balcony. Fairly comfortable bed and pillows. Did also manage to get room a comfy temp for me. Oddly positioned tv, but had a swivel mount so it worked out although there was no finding a tv guide on the remote. Like back in the old days, find something watchable and don't change the channel.The bathtub was dirty & water barely ran, but there were some decent quality shower necessities. The balcony wasn't locked when i came in- Being a woman traveling alone, the whole scene (as well as what sounded like sirens all night, but could have been the wind blowing through the sliding glass doors or noise from the heating/cooling unit) kept me up with nightmares. The gym, pool, and breakfast were in the main building. I didnt use pool or gym. Breakfast didnt do much for me, being vegan, but that is pretty typical for hotels. They did have oat milk, which i appreciated as it meant i could at least have coffee and cereal with a banana! Overall, if i were in the area again I would be open to trying a stay in the main building but would pass on the "dorm" rooms.

Nice comfortable property in a good location near the university . I woke up early and asked the front desk for a recommendation for a good place to take a morning walk. They rightly recommended the Willamette River Park walking path and it was a perfect start to my day! The hotel stay would have been perfect, had I not been suddenly and rudely awakened by some sort of very loud gunshot like noises, but I don’t think they were. They happened somewhere close by, if not on property. That was around 5am, so my day started a bit earlier than I planned.

My wife, dog and I stopped at the Hayward Inn on our way from California to Washington. We chose to stay at the Hayward because it was very reasonably priced and is dog friendly. We were impressed with how well the hotel has been updated. The rooms, breakfast area and the dinning area are all very nice. We will be happy to stay there again next time we are in Eugene.

Cold white lights - need to be switched

The rooms are comfortable but the lighting is a very bright COLD WHITE lights, which makes it very difficult to have them on and get some "downtime"

We were in town for a college graduation at Bushnell University. This hotel was close enough that we were able to walk to the university—a short 15 minute walk. The included breakfast was very good. It is remarkably similar in format and offerings as a Marriott Springfield Suites. I would definitely stay here again.
