Ants in the room,

The first night we were there at about 10:30 PM. We went into the bathroom and noticed a huge line of ants coming out of the ceiling light fixture. They were making their way across the countertop. In the bathroom. We had to remove all of our toiletries from getting ants in them. The view of the river was just a creek.The river was actually a few hundred feet from the hotel. Its more a creek front. The rooms had u s b ports. The staff was really friendly. But you could tell was used to dealing with the homeless community and questioned me when I came in and maybe show my I. D to verify I had the room. The manager said, if I would have called earlier, she could have moved me to a different room, but we wanted a riverfront and to be on the second floor. I should have asked earlier and I waited to complain until we checked out. The manager gave me thirty three percent off my next day. Unfortunately, I probably won't be returning to eugene. I will likely not use the 33% discount. I already get a 20% discount minimal with my apps. Its a generous offer and i do appreciate a manager that does their best to resolve the issue.

The front desk staff were helpful and nice. The room was better than most hotels I've stayed at, especially for that room rate(I was lucky enough to score a room with a balcony). The breakfast was very well stocked and had a great variety of fresh hot food. The bar/restaurant is extremely convenient after a long day of travel too. This will be my go to hotel whenever I'm passing through Eugene.

Great Hotel

The hotel was clean and had all the amenities like in door pool and gym. The morning breakfast offered was great with plenty of options. Staff was very nice and attentive. This was my first time staying at a Hayward Inn and will definitely come back.
