The room and beddings are clean; the restaurant nearby is pretty good. But there is a Motel sign on the roof. I am not sure if this is a motel or not even after I have left. The price is not low, I don't expect it to be a motel.

Would have received 5 stars, but it was so loud from traffic and thin walls on either side, and loud upstairs neighbors, it was difficult to sleep. Would not go back.

Cute retro motel with nice spacious room. Clean and beautiful grounds. Everything was great until I got into the bed. It was soft and mushy and I woke up with a stiff and painful backache. Then I couldn’t get the coffee maker to work. So I went for a beach walk to stretch and left earlier than planned.

a nice one night stay. It's an older motel that is being updated on a budget. We stayed in an updated room. Although clean the updates are very disjointed and rooms are awkward. Although not ideal, I would stay here again. Front desk staff was very friendly

Not worth it. Likely better options.

Was given an ADA room and was told it was an upgrade, but there was no counter room in bathroom, the shower left a puddle of water in the middle of the floor in front of the sink. The towels were old and stained, but smelled clean. We also couldn’t park in front of our room like everyone else. Way too expensive for what we received. We were deceived by the ratings seen on Hotels.com.

This motel is a classic and we loved the charm of it. It was conveniently located to the redwoods without all the congestion. Bed was comfy and it had what we needed for our 1 night. Recommend going to the pier to see the seals.
