Got room 311 overlooking the harbor. Got a great view of the sunset. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Great find when traveling along the Pacific coastal highway.

We enjoyed our stay at the LIghthouse Inn. The hotel itself is a bit dated and has a lot of nicknack decor. But, the rooms were large and clean. Staff was kind and easy to get ahold of. The breakfast they offer is simple (cereals, toast, bagels, coffee/cocoa) but it was good. We actually LOVED their fancy coffee/cocoa machine that they have in the lobby. When we came in at night, it was very cold outside (October) so we used the machine and my kids and I loved the hot cocoa and all the fun creamer options and things they offered with it. Warmed us up in no time as we drank it and watched a movie in our room. Location is nice, down by the harbor area. Restaurants were close and the aquarium across the street. We would stay here again for sure.

Not that there was anything really wrong with it but bed was extra soft, pillows were tired, and in real need of a general cleaning. Not sure how it has a 8.4 rating on your site but hotel is very tired needs renovations.

Very dated
The hotel is very dated. The mattresses and pillows were not comfortable, and the sheets and blankets were very old. The elevator was dirty, and the breakfast was very limited. Be sure and eat dinner before 7 p.m. because the town shuts down. We ended up eating at a taco place on one of the main streets, which happened to be the best part of our stay and the only thing open!

The location was good. The price was reasonable. The amenities were a bit lacking(no gym, no pool). The TV and shower were good. The room was a good size, but there were a couple problems. One problem was the toilet was difficult to get a good flush. Another problem was the sink was very slow to drain. However, the overwhelmingly big problem was the bed. It was very, very hard and uncomfortable. It was like sleeping on a sheet of plywood with a thin piece of fabric on top! It's time to upgrade the mattresses! Overall, it was a very dated hotel in need of updating. The decorations are old and tired too. It's 2024 not 1974. The hand written signs around the property were faded and torn and gave a bit of a shabby feel to the place. This could be fixed in one day if they cared. The breakfast was adequate, but there was no yogurt, no eggs, no meat and no peanut butter so protein was almost non existent. They did have bagels, but everybody shared one big tub of cream cheese. Imagine a hundred different people sticking their individual forks and knives in one shared food product. No thanks. The hotel has the potential to be very good if they upgraded the mattresses and the decor. I am not sure if I would stay there again.
