The rooms and furnishings were definitely old but it was clean. Breakfast was good and fast. Staff was friendly and helpful. Crescent City is a little bit sketchy especially after dark but convenient to the Redwoods.Overall a decent, no frills place to stay!

Visitors should know that there is a fog horn that goes off about every 8 seconds on foggy nights. Sound comes from outside into rooms. Chart room was a recommended restaurant nearby and it was great.

Wish the staff had better hospitality

Air conditioning was great, some lights in the room didn’t work. The room itself was nice, a lot of elderly people stay at the hotel we were like the youngest people there. The hotel check service was horrendous. Didn’t even greet us with a smile or hello we didn’t feel welcomed at all but we tried not to let it ruin our stay. The front desk staff need to be retrained on how to be welcoming and polite. Also someone should tell them to smile more.

Was comfortable room and bed. The overall ambiance of the hotel seemed somewhat run down. Was supposedly an ocean view but property was located a good distance from the ocean, with field and industrial area blocked the view.

We got the two queen bed and king bed with its own separate door for our one night stay. Staff super friendly and the rooms are super spacious. My adult kids are loving having their own beds during this stay. The chart house is right next to the bay with a small beach on one side and a bunch of seals hanging out in the harbour on the other side. Food was great and reasonably priced.
