The property is aged and is located on a busy / noisy street. The room is smelly and not clean. The included breakfast consists of packaged muffins and coffee.

Unhappy and no real breakfast
The room smelled like chemicals when we went in. The towel had a stain on it! The breakfast they off er was some horrible muffins and pot tarts I asked for oatmeal in was horrible they buy the cheapest food i tasted horrible i mean at least get Quaker oatmeal not dollar store food. Thought is was gonna be a real breakfast should have stayed at the holiday inn express. Tea and coffe both cheap brands no creamer except packs

Decent hotel for the price
Had a good stay. The pool was nice and was adjacent to downtown. This can be good and bad in Eureka as the hotel is a couple of blocks away from the jail and there are many transients in downtown Eureka.

Room is good and clean, in a nice area. However, the staff was so rude that I wish I could leave and not stay there. Had I not been tired after a long drive, I would leave. Check-in was through the machine. Then a woman appeared. I was discussing the deposit with her and she told me that if I continue arguing with her, that is talking with her, she would ask me to leave their hotel without staying there. This was a threat. I felt very unwelcome. Also, they don't want you to use their towels because if they find them dirty, that is used, they will use your deposit to clean them. I did not even take a shower and left in the morning as soon as I could. In the morning, there was a gentleman at the reception who also was rude. Also: parking is difficult in this hotel. You have to use a code to open their garage gate. If you don't want to be kicked out of this hotel for just talking with them or pay for using their towels, avoid this hotel like a plague.

Yeah, I'd stay again!
Its a streach to say this motel is in Old Town, but its a safe place and about a 5 block walk to the restaurants and shops in Old Town. The room was exceptionally clean and free of odors that cover up. The downside: out one windiw was a very busy and bright Chevron station and out the other was an excessively well lit walkway and the Hi-Way. Its a bit challenging if you prefer to not use A/C. The exceptional cleanliness of the room and the price-point of the room makes it a place I'd choose again.

It’s risky booking the cheapest place in town, but this place is newly renovated (As of August 2024) and looks great. Awesome dock over the water out back.
