I don't recommend this property. Do not stay in Room 231. My standards are very low and I'm normally fine with anything as long as the door locks, but this was so bad it felt unbelievable. I wasn't told anything at check in, but later learned that the door to my room wasn't aligned properly with the lock and you have to lift it up to get it to line up. The manager looked at me like I was crazy for being confused by this when he showed me that only after physically lifting the door the lock would click. I also wasn't warned and couldn't tell from the inside, so the door could just be pushed open from the moment I got there until when I went to get dinner. At that point I learned it wasn't locking. I heard the sound of someone trying the handle at least twice, almost like someone knew it might push open. I was scared the entire time for myself and my belongings. I thought about cutting my losses and leaving but couldn't afford the expense of booking a second hotel. I would also add that only 1 of 3 bedroom lamps worked (the bathroom was fine). Only 1 of 2 charging stations worked. I couldn't get a plug to stay in the outlet on the wall. The faucet was so stuck I was worried I was going to break it. The desk phone didn't have a dial tone and didn't work so I had to call the hotel on my cell phone. There were constantly people in the parking lot and loitering outside and there was A LOT of night noise from outside, since this is the furthest room to the front of the hotel.

Bed was comfortable and microwave, refrigerator and coffeemaker were appreciated and standard. The stair carpet needs a good cleaning, and although I don't use elevators, I'm not sure there is one as staff pointed 2nd floor guests to the stairs. My main complaint may not be the fault of the motel: a noisy family was staying next door and I think in another room. Kids were slamming doors and talking loudly well after ten PM and kept waking me. Wouldn't hurt for night staff to make a trip upstairs periodically so guests don't have to police inconsiderate other guests themselves.

The hallway is indoors, so the sounds of people walking by, talking and rolling their luggage along, is magnified. The closer you are to the stairs, the more people go past your room. Warnings about Room 206: (1) The window faces the McDonald's drive-through, so you hear everyone's orders and McD's recorded message umpteen times a day. Thankfully, it's quiet at night, but if the window is left open, the drive-through gets busy around 6 a.m. Rooms immediately around #206 are probably likewise affected by the McDonald's speakers. (2) The sink faucet is almost impossible to pull up to turn the water on. I almost wrenched my back doing so. (I work out regularly.) (3) The bathtub and floor by the sink were sticky. Thankfully, when I asked for it to be cleaned, it was done immediately and the guy at the front desk was very nice.

Not worth the stay

This is only a place I would stay as a last resort. The location is good, but the experience was poor. Our room was so loud that we could not sleep. The icemachine sounds like it might take off for space all night long. People were talking in the halls and lobby late into the night. The breakfast was cheap bread and two cereal options. It was truly the cheapest food options with very little selection. The rooms are small. The front desk staff were polite but in the end the manager was not helpful.

For a non-smoking hotel, the place reeked of pot. In the morning there were some type of beetle bugs on top of the comforter.

Super 8 stay for two with dogs

It was super convenient to have a fully stocked grocery store and many amazing restaurants right across the street. The bed was comfortable and house keeping staff were on top of offering new linen and towels. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere overall. I've stayed here several times over the years and all improved experience. Will stay here again while in town. Internet and television are great.

This hotel is in a great location, right near a shopping center, and several restaurants, with close access to the freeway. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable as well as the pillows. Surprised to have a mini fridge and a microwave in the room, that was nice. The breakfast in the morning is quite good, with waffles, toast, cereal, bananas, hard-boiled eggs, juice. There is no elevator so you have to use the stairs to get to the second floor. The only negative was my shower. The drain was clogged, so water kept filling up the tub as I was showering. I reported this to the front desk and they never fixed it for three days. Even after I asked a second time, they said it was on the maintenance list, but never was taken care of. This is a dealbreaker for me and would prevent me from staying here again. There are several other motels in the area and I will choose one of them next time.
