Price on Hotels.com was $289. So far they have charged me $351. When I checked out at 10a I complained and they said they had to add taxes and fees. The rest, they said, was for any contingencies. I asked for a refund to give me the agreed upon price and to say that we had not charged anything to our room. They said they would refund a contingency fee but refused to do it at the desk. The clerk said: "All hotels do this." I have received an e-mail pdf saying that my stay cost $320.79. An additional $14.45 and 17.34 was charged in taxes. It's 5:30p Monday. I checked out Sunday and I am at home. I looked at my pending credit card transactions and $351 charge is still there! Please refund the additional $351 less $320.79 equals $30.21. All hotels do not do this bait and switch. The breakfast was powdered eggs, no bananas, little cereal, water instead of orange juice. No place to sit. The thermostat did not work. The furniture was worn 1960s, 2 rooms dark and musty. I was not able to open the windows. This hotel is pathetic.

Rooms are smaller than they appear in pictures
I should have reserved two rooms. From the pictures, I thought a suite with two queen beds and a pull-out sofa would be enough for three adults and two kids. We were crowded. The hotel did nothing wrong; it was my mistake.

We had planned a vacation around getting some poolside time in during our down time and when we got there the pool was closed. One of the hottest weeks and we were not happy. They got a free pass to the Y in town for pool access, ok but not Athena relaxing vacation I had wanted since watching tv was the only thing available.

Liked: location, kindness of staff members, breakfast, easy parking, quietness of the room. We did not hear highway noise as other reviewers had reported, and we were not near a noisy elevator. (thumbs up for that!!) Disliked: was given a room with 2 queen beds instead of the King bedroom that I signed up for. I did not complain as our 5 hour trip to drive to the hotel in the extremely hot temperatures had exhausted me, and, at that point, I was too tired to care much. The fitted sheet on one of the beds was stained; it made me wonder whether this was overlooked during previous laundering, or, had it not been laundered?

To start on a positive note it’s in a good location to pick up groceries or eat out. The housekeeping staff was friendly and our room was clean despite the stale smell if the AC wasn’t on. The beds didn’t seem to be true queen sized beds. The pool was green and the hot tub was a cold tub. The staff behind the courtesy desk seemed to know very little about anything when I inquired about the pool and hot tub. We were told they don’t currently have a maintenance person to service the pool or hot tub. Personally, we look specifically for hotels that have certain amenities to keep our kids busy and make our family stay more enjoyable. I would not stay here again.
