Lovely, modern, upscale hotel. We splurged for two nights on our trip in order to stay in this area. The room was nicely decorated, and clean. The mini fridge coolness was questionable. We enjoyed the hot tubs while overlooking the meadows that lead to the ocean, a nice way to relax after a day of exploring. Breakfast was plentiful, with a European spread of yogurts, fruit, cheese, meat, eggs, bacon, cereals and breads. The hotel is a reasonable distance to the Skaftafel hike, as well as the Svinafell glacier which was fun to explore. The Mulagljufur Canyon, and glacier lagoons aren't too far in the opposite direction.

It was fabulous! We arrived after a lagoon boat tour in the pouring rain. We were soaked to the bone. We got to our rooms to find robes and slippers which we immediately put on and headed to the jacuzzis. It was heaven! We had dinner at the hotel and it was fabulous! Our group is from New York and Chicago, so we are used to great food. We were pleasantly surprised. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone!

Very nice stay, clean, comfortable. Staff very nice! Happy hour is great! Only one thing better selection on bar food maybe some hamburgers sliders or chicken fingers more choices. Breakfast buffet was really good!

Very nice hotel. Very expensive restaurant, and like most of Iceland, there are not a lot of choices on where to dine, when outside of Reykjavik. Very easy check-in. Heated floors.

Nice hotel!

Hotel was very nice. Beds were a little soft for my liking and the room was warm due to unseasonably warm weather and no AC in the rooms, but other than these two things, our stay was very comfortable.

Hotel was nice but the rooms were extremely hot and there was no way to cool them down. We opened the small window and the room was filled with bugs that bit us all night. It was tough to sleep both nights with it being so hot and no way to cool the room down. A few people we talked to at the hotel had the same issue. It was cold outside but the hotel faces the sun and its all windows.

Check in was good, however the guy. Checking us in mentioned our breakfast option would take place on upper floor next morning We were sure we had booked breakfast when booking room When we arrived for breakfast were told no breakfast option booked for our room Rooms were great, although a shower mat for a slippery wet tiled floor would be a good idea Enjoyed our Expedia upgrade drinks in the bar Ordered a bar meal , which took forever, but bar server gave us discount for late delivery Nice hotel in a very remote area
