Older property that has been updated. Room very clean, daily cleaning service was unexpected and nice. Staff very nice. A bit tricky getting in and out of parking lot. Would stay there again.

Tucked away on a busy corner right next to a McDonald’s. Parking area is small and oddly shaped. The hotel had a few signs of wear, hole in the wall in the main hallways etc, but was mostly good. Showers had good pressure and hot water. Only negative was the room was not pre-cooled, and it being VA in July it was very very hot and humid in our room, and the clunky old baseboard AC unit was not up to the task of getting it cooled down.

The smell of marijuana in the hallway and stairs was so bad that it was bothering us while we were sleeping from the nasty smell

The staff was nice, and the towels and other things in the room were replaced daily. The food was decent, and the dining room was kept clean constantly. We stayed on the first floor, and the hallway was dingy and claustrophobic. The room was neat and comfortable, but so damp that our sheets stayed damp the entire 3 days we were there, in spite of keeping the air conditioner running. There were several times we were hit with the smell of marijuana. The room could have used another lamp. And a few of the TV channels were off and on working throughout our stay. The hotel was a convenient distance from downtown DC, and overall it was an ok stay. But the dampness and dingyness of the hallway and room would make me not want to stay there again. The hotel just needs a good upgrade.
