Entertainment staff was energetic and fun The only complaints would be the music after 11:00 pm until 1:00 am was very loud and it was difficult for the children to fall asleep … Considering this is a family resort they catered the evening to the adults only section

So, I always like to read real reviews with the good and not so good. Here is my take…it’s a beautiful property. We had an ocean view room that was outstanding. Beds are doubles not queens. Water is gorgeous and the beach is great! Housekeeping always did a wonderful job. We loved our housekeeper, Adriana. She was so friendly and courteous. We also loved the beach attendant, Mike, the bartender in the sports bar, Irman, and the two snorkel captains! The water slides are excellent for kids 7 and up. There is a height limit of 48 inches, I believe… my kids absolutely loved them! The food was ok. There is one large buffet and one pool side food bar. Wish there had been a few more places to choose from, bc getting a reservation at the restaurants was hard! The restaurants are smaller in nature and don’t hold many... Also note, there are three pools; however, the one in the middle is adults only. It can get very loud and sometimes rowdy, so you will hear the music while at the other pools. We loved the sports bar area. My kids loved to play pool there. As for the main gift shop…one of the attendants actually yelled at me bc I didn’t want to buy a shirt for my child bc it was big, and she literally yelled “Buy the shirt!” in not a nice way… I then realized they must be on commission bc there was absolutely no reason to yell like that at me. That sales rep needs some major coaching. RIU needs to work out a few kinks bc it is so new… but we did enjoy ourselves!

The staff was very friendly and attentive, they cleaned your room everyday and changed our towels. The restaurants were awesome, the steakhouse was great, the Italian was our second favorite and the buffet food was fresh and really good. The Jamaican show was my favorite. We really enjoyed our stay there. Great experience and service from everyone. We will definitely come back.

We went with our 2 kids for mid winter break and had the best time. It’s very family friendly and not too loud at night. You can find fun stuff to do but if you want quiet, they offer that too. The 3 different pools are great and I like that some are kid friendly and not. The water slides are really fun and the food was good.

Amazing hotel and great time. Had a swim-up room in hopes of using at night but the water was pretty cold. During the day it was perfect tho. Staff and servers very friendly and accommodating. Entertainment was great! Buffet food is better than the specialty restaurants. Definitely will be returning.

Staff in all areas were very friendly, welcoming and attentive. Buffett had big variety and abundance of food and very quick service. The specialty restaurants were average. We preferred the Buffett. Entertainment team was very good and family friendly. Good bands.

It was my birthday vacation and I have chosen a room with ocean view. Out of all of the rooms with ocean view there were a few rooms with a balcony through which I couldn't see the ocean. It was very disappointing that I didn't get to enjoy a room with a glass balcony as it was in the rest of rooms. Gym was a bit crowded evry morning since everyone wants to workout before breakfast. It would be nicer if gym was open at least from 5 am. Food was good. Restaurant service was good. Some days it wasn't enough umbrellas even when we came early to the beach. The hotel is nice, however it would be good to have somewhere to walk. Beach is not vety long and outside of hotel there's nothing to do and probably not even safe. it was a great stay for one time, but i woudln't come back for second. In comparson to Riu palaces in Dominican Republic and Mexico i loved it better. Those hotel have walking areas and has a place to run. This hotel is definotly not for runners.

The towel hooks in my room was already broken despite the property only being a year old. The double beds were small and the staff seemed overworked. I will give the food at the buffet a 10/10…the homecooked Jamaican food was amazing!
