The facility had construction going on. It was a complete mess. - the first floor and most of the second were closed - the spa was closed - the fire escape next to our room locked (probably a code violation) - the furniture in the lobby was missing or filthy - our shower tiles were covered in mold/mildew - I forgot a comb and when I asked at the desk I was told they didn’t have any of that stuff - the only operable ice machine was in another building on the fourth floor - the elevator lobbies were small and very hot Don’t stay here

Staff was no where in sight when we came to check in at 5:30pm, called the number posted no answer. A lady came out about 10 minutes later, couldnt tell she worked there had no name tag on. Ice machines were down, elevators were down in parts of the building, hot tub was down. Also asked if Sanford employees get a discount, she had no idea nor did she make any effort to check. Maybe we should have been notified of all the issues before we checked .

Loved the location. It was an easy drive to downtown Fargo, which we enjoyed exploring. The hotel needed some updates, but our room and beds were comfortable, and breakfast was very good. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Close to lots if shopping options,mall, zoo, and other family friendly activities but the facility itself was a horrible experience. Walked in to servicemaster onsite; no notification of the issue in advance so we could cancel our reservation. We had an elderly guest in a wheelchair unable to walk and thre were no 1st floor rooms offered; staff said 3rd floor was only option and elevator worked but in an emergency this felt really unsafe. Then at check in we asked if pool would be open and staff said it was getting maintenance and would be opened later that day but it never was and i overheard guests later being told the pool would remain closed. The room had stains on walls and guest chair. The office chair was falling apart, the air conditioner cover kept falling off and the top drawer of the dresser kept opening on its own. There was a dog in the room across from us barking til 11pm then constriction noise started at 7:30 am. I mentioned all this at check out and they gave me a $25 discount and an email for management. So disappointed.

I guess this is an older La Quinta, or we just got the “third party” room. Window was open when we checked in, both queen beds were sagging in the middle, air conditioner was noisy, tub/shower need replacing. Carpeting in halls need to be ripped up and tossed. We got a good deal, and yes, you get what ya pay for.
