A good rest.
We were pleased with the cleanliness of the room and the comfort of the beds. The heater was quiet, so we slept better than we had most nights on this trip. Bathroom was nice and clean. Like the Dove soap. Breakfast was good - hot egg and sausage patties, potatoes, biscuits and gravy. Also the usual toasts, cereal, waffles. Happy to see yogurt and fruit.

Do not stay here!!! Horrible customer service. We showed up at 8pm (3pm check in) and they told us they had no rooms available because they have not been cleaned yet. We had to wait OVER FOUR HOURS to get into our room! We were not in our room until after midnight (12:45AM). They never said they were sorry. Simply told us we had to wait. The lobby was FULL of people waiting for rooms. Absolutely ridiculous. I’ve never even heard of a hotel run this poorly.

Staff were extremely friendly which is the saving grace of this hotel. Bathrooms and pool area desperately need an upgrade. Mold in bathroom, sink had no cold water only hot and extremely hot water. Pool loungers were only 2 one of which was broken. Flooring in pool area and whole hotel in rough shape. Then the noise! The walls are paper thin, the people walking above us was not only loud but you could physically feel the bed shaking. Our room was right beside the house keeping room so when they started early in the morning it was as if they were in our room. We could hear talking from rooms on either side and hallway, the tv from other rooms could be heard in ours as well. Needless to say no one got any sleep. Have always had great experience at la quintas but this one was a big disappointment.

What was weird is that they advertise a "Managers Special" from 5 - 7 from Monday to Thursday. It is on a wall sign in the "Breakfast Room" and in the rooms - but when we asked about it they wanted to know "who told you that?" Well - their signs told us that. Not a deal breaker but they should update all of their signage.

This hotel used to be top shelf. But our most recent stays have just been mediocre. The managers special is no more. Coffee used to be really good. Not anymore. Twice we’ve had problems with the tv service, and most recently spotty wifi. Not acceptable in this day. While our stay was adequate, there is absolutely nothing that distinguishes La Quinta from everywhere else. Price will be the determining factor moving forward. Hotels are a commodity product.
