Loved this hotel. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Room had everything, very comfortable with all the facilities you need for cooking and a great stay. Only a few minutes walk to many restaurants and shops.

Stayed only 1 night prior to early AM travel elsewhere in country. Hotel was very clean, proximity to Faro train station was primary driver for our booking decision. Staff are very friendly, provided us a good experience.

Tight parking

Very quiet and nice. Not far from restaurants etc. tight parking. Don’t have anything larger than Honda CRV and you better drive well.

The Roots Hotel was very convenient and comfortable, with a great location. We needed a parking spot, which they provided in an underground garage for a cost of 7 euros per day. We also needed to be near the train station, which was a very short walk from the hotel. And we wanted to be near Faro Airport, which was a short taxi ride away. In addition, there were tons of restaurants within a few blocks from the hotel. So the location was ideal for our stay and the front desk was very friendly. They offered complimentary coffee/cappuccino, etc in a room off the lobby. The room itself had a good separate bathroom with a large shower, a kitchenette with a fridge, sink, stove, microwave and dishes/dishwasher. We had no complaints about the room at all. Out of the 6 hotels we stayed at during our visit to Portugal, The Roots would be rated in the top two. I would definitely stay there again!

Nicer than I expected, very clean, good location and easy access to transportation. We arrived by train and left via bus and both were a two minute walk away. Loved having a balcony, recommended if you plan to stay for a few days!

I was shocked that this hotel is a 3 star hotel because it seems like a 4 or 5 star. Excellent service, super friendly staff so clean, spacious apartment and very modern/beautiful. Also in a really good location very close to the restaurants.
