Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The balcony was enormous but a little sterile with no sunshade and no view whilst sitting. Our only disappointment was that swimming pool area where there were only 2 chairs (& no shade). We weren’t lucky enough in the 5 days we were there to get a spot!

L’hotel en soi est très bien: propre, accès un une piscine ( minuscule mais agréable), chambre équipée d’une cuisinette. Cependant, assurez-vous d’avoir une chambre côté jardin car la rue devant est extrêmement passante. J’ai payé un surplus pour avoir un balcon mais, impossible d’en profiter car ça sentait trop l’essence des voitures et beaucoup trop bruyant. On nous a offert de changer de chambre pour la deuxième nuit seulement, mais toujours coté rue. De plus, une odeur épouvantable envahissait la chambre; le personnel est tres réactif; les femmes de chambre sont venues nettoyer mais le problème n’était pas résolu; je pense que ça venait des égouts. J’imagine que si vous avez une chambre coté jardin, votre expérience sera meilleure que la notre.

Great Stay!

We absolutely loved our stay at Roots Hotel! Great location in Faro. Walking distance to train and bus stations. Short walk to the town. Spotlessly clean hotel with cooking facilities in the rooms. Little Pool to cool off in, great complimentary coffee in the dining area. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would return if visiting Faro in the future!

This hotel was 10 mins walk from the old town area of Faro. From the very moment of check in all the staff we met were very friendly, polite & helpful. The bedroom was spacious, ample storage, very clean, kitchen area with sufficient equipment incl microwave, kettle, fridge, plus utensils. Good hairdryer and ironing board & iron. Comfortable beds and a sea view to the right of our hotel. The terrace and public area were always very clean & tidy. Worth while staying here for a great hotel at a reasonable price.

Highly recommend Roots!

We chose this hotel due to proximity, as we arrived by train, and wanted to be able to walk everywhere downtown. We were fortunate to stay at this modern, clean, bright property for 5 nights. We checked in with super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff. Each day we passed through the lobby multiple times as we went out to explore Faro and the surrounding beautiful district. We often stopped by the front desk for an inquiry, recommendation, or just to visit and joke for a minute. Staff went above and beyond, and soon felt like friends. The pool is clean and refreshing. The 24 hr free coffee/latte/hot chocolate etc machine was another bonus. Our kitchen was well stocked, and despite the MANY nearby and delicious restaurants, it's always nice to have the option of preparing a meal as well. I would encourage you to enjoy Roots Hotel when in Faro.
