Loved this guest house, as needed somewhere for one night before leaving Portugal. We had a geound floor room, and the beach view was higher than our level, but you can see the sea when standing. Lovely to hear the waves, and i was concerned it was under the flight path but very little plane noise too. There was a party on the roof that night so we couldnt use, but there are so many other bars and restaurants on the strip it didnt matter, and everyone had packed up and gone by 9.30. Would def stay again!

This was my sixth stay at this beautiful hotel, the first one was in 1971 when it was almost new, but of course it has had many upgrades and refits since! It is still the same welcoming place with lovely, friendly staff especially on the front desk. My room this time was upgraded to a suite, so definitely not complaining about that. The breakfast buffet continues t be excellent, with a considerable variety of food and drinks to cater for all tastes. The only downside on this visit was that the rooftop swimming pool has gone, (I was unaware of this in advance). The speedboat to the beach made up for it though, eight minutes rather than the old "chugger-boats" taking 25 minutes from the nearby pier. As always I would highly recommend this hotel.
